I put the racks in a solution of washing powder and water to soak 1hr or so - and scrub as I go after a bit - if the sink isn't big enough for the whole rack I put one end in then the other - althernating til its clean
Grill pan has half a cup of powder to a cup boiling water - rack in it upside down (that make sense) and the whole thing left over night normally does the job.
Do same things with nasty roast trays/cake tins after its all been caked on
I dunno why I do it this way - no access to fancy shops when I needed to clean things
The oven/trays can often have a white residue on them if you don't get it all off properly - just wipe or rinse again and dry til clean

just a health and safety notice about cleaning ovens, be careful as when i last did ours i sprained my wrist! I'm sure it's not worth all that pain0

Evening all! I see I've missed the chat - I had the novel experience of sitting in the living room (actually, layingin the living room with a quilt over me) and watching Strictly Come Dancing
it was weird. And great!
Pippi, guess what - I couldn't bear to stay inside the whole day, so I went into my town centre, and they had wellies! So I bought someso thank you for your generous offer, but if you do decide you have too many pairs, you can give them/sell them locally, and either avoid costs or make money
