    Hey there makeup

I put the racks in a solution of washing powder and water to soak 1hr or so - and scrub as I go after a bit - if the sink isn't big enough for the whole rack I put one end in then the other - althernating til its clean

Grill pan has half a cup of powder to a cup boiling water - rack in it upside down (that make sense) and the whole thing left over night normally does the job.

Do same things with nasty roast trays/cake tins after its all been caked on

I dunno why I do it this way - no access to fancy shops when I needed to clean things

The oven/trays can often have a white residue on them if you don't get it all off properly - just wipe or rinse again and dry til clean

Wow! All this chat about oven cleaning - best get mine done before Christmas! Been meaning to do this for months :o And only just realised the door comes off to make it easier to clean :o

  • Nearest wine to here is in a shop 5 miles away (don't keep it in the house) - hot choc for me tonight!

We had meat ragu with gnocci dropped in it (I guess itailian mince and dumplings!)

Off to keep warm upstairs and write the end of that section.

Evening all! I see I've missed the chat - I had the novel experience of sitting in the living room (actually, layingin the living room with a quilt over me) and watching Strictly Come Dancing :) it was weird. And great!

Pippi, guess what - I couldn't bear to stay inside the whole day, so I went into my town centre, and they had wellies! So I bought some :D so thank you for your generous offer, but if you do decide you have too many pairs, you can give them/sell them locally, and either avoid costs or make money :D thank you again :D:j

Oven cleaning tips sound good - I'd no idea you could do it that way :o and I love what DD said about the vegetarians :rotfl: yay for the eco hippies :j

  • Yay for wellies - no worries I've got spare which will be happy here!

Didn't get to the post office due to snow - which isn't much good for you. :)

We've a good dvd on (love actually) and tucked up on the sofa.

    Yay indeed for eco-hippies!
