Thank you for the arggs and the grrs
- off to write a letter in a bit and see ifI can talk to the ombidsman folk too. I think I was so focussed on getting rid of that debt - hadn't considered really using the money for anything else - I could use it to do up Darwin - which would keep him safe and improve his value quite dramatically. I'm going to write first and see if I can do something - had thought about offering penguin chops £1000 full and final - I'm sure he'd choke on his coffee - best not go there I think - we're barely what you could call 'friends' anymore - that would be pushing it a bit.
Very snowy here - school off unless you can walk - we can walk, but not that far.
Off to do the hens and give them some hot brekkie then ensconse myself in a nice *productive* spot - its cold here - but OH informs me its -14 where he is - its not that cold here!
Alot of snow though and a pheasant sitting on the bird table - my word does he look very silly.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

what a load of wan twits.....no way is it your fault. Absolutely complain that is so wrong of them to do it. like the idea of the chooks getting a hot brekkie, i bet they need it at the moment. and wow it being warmer with you than at your OH's on the mainland. I hadn't realised it was still that cold. Is -14 the day time temperature?
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

:rotfl: at your pheasant on the bird table :rotfl:
I walked past the library on the way to work this morning and there were 8 large geese hanging round outside the door like a flock of sparrows :rotfl: Everyone was having to squeeze up against the wall to get past them :rotfl:
Hope you get it sorted. You could always keep hold of the cash as an emergency fund (that was your original plan wasn't it?). Let's hope the ombudsman sort you out! xx0 -
I'm just catching up now, Pippi - they've got some nerve! I'm glad EH expressed quite how angry she was on your behalf - yep, add another one here. Disgusting, I'm sure they can't get away with saying its a typo - as someone else said, I suspect they wanted to pay off a debt of their own, and maybe now they have. Not good enough.
Moving on ... did you manage to get a picture of the pheasant?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Pheaant - runs everytime the camera is out - I'll get that pesky pheasant one day - today they were taking the mickey - one on top of the bird table, one on the fence two underneath - very beautiful!

Hello you
Its not warm here - but not that cold - blanket chugging away - OH gave me it for my xmas a few years back - bit like here but not quite.
Very french - and huge.
I've been very brave and phoned the Ombudsman - they are sending me a pack and 1st credit a letter to say they are aware of the issue.
Bit scary - but I'm still boiling mad imagine offering 60% discount if you don't actually mean it - typo my backside - how many other people have been duped like this?Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Pippi, the more that I think about the this the more angry I get. I am sick of hearing about the banks tramping all over vulnerable people. BUT I am more angry that the FSA dont do anything about it. I am convinced that was an offer to lure you onto the phone and it is just not ethical. I am really pleased that you got in touch with the ombudsman. OH had lots of problems with RBS regarding linking his business account to his current account. It led to him being left with no money for my birthday last year. I wasnt bothered that I didnt get a present he was so upset and felt he had let me down. I asked him to contact the ombudsman as this had been going on for too long. He phoned them that afternoon and within 3 days they had linked his accounts and he has not had to deal with them since. I am sure that just the phone call from the ombudsman should be enough. In the meantime I would forget about it and put the money back into your emergency fund for now.
Like the sound of pheasants on the bird table. I am currently trying to manage the starlings. They keep stealing all of the seeds and the robin looks quite upset when he arrives to an empty restaurant. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
would love to see the piccy of the hens and the pheasants.
I like EH and cheri am fuming over what the CC have done with you. Well done for going to the ombudsman.
I've contacted the window company to see if they can 'improve' their quote, just awaiting a phonecall one way or another. But we will still get them done, after struggling last night and with this sore throat and cough i can't wait much longer for things to improve.0 -
Well done chaps - cheri what a nightmare with the bank
I'm giving starlings food mountain at the side of the bird table and attempting to let my own new robin eat - loving the restaurant image!
Lt - hug for feeling grotty - well done for asking for a better offer!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
