What happened to the mouse?! I'm sure there was a mouse!

Perhaps the puffin ate it. And the wombat.

How annoying and as everyone has said - totally not your fault. Like you said, you scanned the smallprint and if they said valid for Nov & Dec well you would assume you could ring up in early Dec and get the offer.

Well done for calling ombudsman and pursuing this, they are 100% in the wrong.

I just wanted to post about the census jobs in case anyone was thinking of doing it. They are offering short term contracts next March / April time for around 6 weeks. You can do full, part or very part-time. I've gone for very part-time which is 15 hrs per week evenings & weekends so will fit in around my full time work. I think pay is £10 per hour plus bonuses on completion so is definitely worth considering for the extra cash if you can work around those hours.

Just google census jobs 2011 and the click on apply for jobs, you can put in your postcode and they'll bring up jobs in your area.

The closing date is next Monday but the first stage is very easy, just have to enter your basic details, then they email you an online test. I'm going to do that this week.

I think this only applies to England and Wales though, not sure what Scotland and Northern Ireland are doing??
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

  • Makeup thank you - I meant to tell everyone I'd checked already - nothing in my area :)

Freezer contents currently being modified for your trip :) - long overdue -!

EH not all the content made the move to the country, a few were 'rezoned'. :)
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Pippi, can I ask ... *why* do you have the weird stuff in your freezer? I feel completely thick in asking ... is it part of the PhD thesis? animal food? Curiosity? Do tell ....

I can't decide whether to apply for a census job - just checked what's local to me, and its on the other side of the town - I must assume I'm going to be **well** by then. Shall I also assume I'm raking in thousands from the trading, however, and not bother??? Sigh ........

I'm just wondering now about my Dad having a 'secret life'. If he has my Mum better not find out.

The weird thing about those 'chikinis' is that last week when I was on about knitted teacosy things for hens I meant it as a joke and because my fevered imagination was suffering from being indoors too much, now I find they exist, bid skimpy mind.

i thought it was a guinea pig not a mouse, but you can never tell with Pippi.

I'm wondering about the census jobs, i'd have to get permission from professional standards at work which could take a while and could also upset a few apple carts, but the money would be good.

came home early from work today cos of feeling icky, had hoped to be able to stick it out but wasn't to be.
