"For lesbians they were really OK"! Thats a hoot! Of course, for the lesbians, it probably would need a bit more effort to find it a hoot.

You know, I'm so glad this is on your thread, not mine - if Z found this conversation, it would be .... big, lets say :rotfl:

Right, I'm stopping posting for 10 minutes - going through all the paperwork I've got to see if anything qualifies for this dratted GP...

Thankfully both girls have a killer sense of humour and would have retorted something in the manner of - well for a non-gardener - he'll do!!

Good stuff with the paper work!

I'm hoping big is um, um, good? Or ok?

  • Then I married a farmer (many years later not as a child bride you understand) on an island - and when you live in remote island places - storage of all types especially freezers become like a filing cabinet - anytihng you want the vet to look at (if dead) ......

Yeah wierd eh - my sibiling was gobsmaked - as the girls were with us for a weekend, he had no idea they were a couple - the classic comment was that they were (after they left)

......For lesbians they were really OK I guess, even if one of them was English and the other ain (one) Irish, richt braw lassies.

Mind on though - I dunno how he would have coped if they'd been veggie as well.

Oh dear both of those did make me giggle! I loved the qualifier 'if dead' - as if we might think that you would pop your sick animals in the freezer :eek:

My Mum is the one for coming out with the unthinkable. The first time she met my partner (then aged under 30) she asked him 'Are those your own teeth?' :rotfl::rotfl:Luckily he has a good sense of humour!

Such fun going on here today. Pippi, snowdrifts! Hard work but I am glad that you are ok.

It is funny to hear about what you have in the freezer. Before I lived in the country I would have thought that was mad. There is a film called Sleep Furiously which is about a year in the life of the people in the valley here where I live. The director grew up here but has lived in London since he was 18. He filmed here over 12 months. One of the scenes is his mum taking an owl to a taxidermist (dead of course). She had found it in the road and frozen it until she knew what to do with it. It is a fantastic film full of laughter about the things that happen in a very rural area. I would recommend it as a good watch. But then I am biased and I probably wouldn't have "got" it before I lived here.
