    Force 7!!!

    A rat in the kitchen???

Eek! Pippi! Neither of those are good things - hope your new polytunnel is ok, tho I'm thinking its not up yet, or at least if it is up, its not in danger as with no plastic there's no wind resistance, is that right?

Good luck with the writing - aargh, is the only comment I have to make on that!

And Cheery - triangle giving! Yay! :) very nice.

Oh dear Pippi, weather doesn't sound too great up with you. Glad the seeds got to you alright. Looks like you will have to delay sowing them though!! You could really do with a couple of calm weeks to get your poly-tunnel up and then you'll be well sorted!!!

Interesting allotment site K. My garden doesn't look as neat as that! How does he find the time?
I think it must have been all the effort in the beginning, paving it all...would really make quite a difference, not having to weed the paths and corners every week! I think on one of his pages, he states gow many hours he spends there every week...must go back and check.

The moveable cloche/mini-greenhouses he has made look good. We have one with netting, but I fancy having a couple more, and perhaps one with plastic...mind you, I have quite a quantity of polycarbonate somewhere (Freegled years ago :)), so I'm sure between DH and myself (me designing, DH making) we could come up with something half decent!

Well, I managed to get all my pot-grown garlic planted yesterday, and hope to sow some carrots this evening....far too hot atm...over 22 dgc C in the shade...and 28 in the sun!!:eek: Apologies to those with colder/windier weather. :o

Anyway, have a lovely day, whatever the weather!

My Dad used to recycle things for the garden - our cloche was a nosecone from an aeroplane and we had an exhaust as the incinerator. The cold frames were wooden frames with car windscreen on the top which could be slid open or closed depending on the weather :D

Tonight I've been given a heated propagation bed and bought a new strummer, from a chum for not much which I might swap for a few months garden work maintenance :)

    Morning all
up with a peppermint tea - bit of cleaning and tidying - dd back today (this am) yippee!

    Bank to look at
Ebay to do more of - things are taking over windowsills
and I have to use some gadget called a 'hoover' - wierd contraption - I think folk use them quite regularily but we do our bit for global warming here and minimise our use of this carbon guzzling beastie.

I feel like I've landed in an episode of werewolf in england or something - its so misty out there........................eerie

More tea then cleaning - need energy!

    Hope you're all good!

I am with you on the carbon guzzling monster. Mine is staring at me from under the stairs. It is saying "its Saturday - you always get me out on a Saturday" Not today, I am having some fun for a change.
We went to the town beach last night when we left home it was glorious sunshine by the time we got into the town it was starting to get misty and the beach was like an episode from a werewolf movie here. Very atmospheric. Might post some piccies up on Moos blog later.

Omigod, that sounds *fantastic* :j The only thing I can remember like that is my grandad using the Anderson shelter as a shed :)

All this talk of hoovers..... Anyone remember Quentin Crisp? He said that if you didn't clean for 6 months it never got any worse!

So, in my old house, when I was working full time, a part time job 2 nights a week, night school 2 nights a week and amusing my 3 niece's when they were out of boarding school for the weekend I thought I would give it a try :o

He is wrong, the dust bunnies get bigger :(:rotfl:
