Well done to your DD Pippi, clever girl!! :T:T
Sorry to hear your finances are tight atm...but you do have quite a bit in the pipeline, that'll keep you going.
We'll have to pull in our belts yet another notch as the centre where I work is closing at the end of July.We were told yesterday and it is all beginning to sink in today...people are starting to get cross too, so a few stressful months ahead methinks. I do have some invigilating elsewhere in the college, but this was always my main job...when I got the hours. I am "bank" staff, so I have no permanent contract, and only get paid when I work, no chance of a nice little redundancy package for me then.
Hey ho, I will just have to develop my patchwork career a bit more. Trying to work out if I can make things to sell and make a decent profit...difficult in these times. Going to investigate about selling plants again...dug up and split lots at the weekend.
Off to bed now...have the dentist first thing tomorrow.

Keep writing - I had my final sign off letter today - it *is* possible to get to the end, I promise! :j
Didn't want this to slip by. WELL DONE CHEERY. I bet that is SUCH a relief. I think everywhere is tight at the moment. I feel quite proud that I saved for my freezer. On the other hand I have blown money on tickets to see ZZ top in a couple of weekends time. I have wanted to see them for YEARS. And who knows if they will make it down here again!
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Pippi, well done to DD! And like everyone else, I'm sorry money's so tight. Keiss too. Its like that everywhere. I'm happy to have picked up a couple of extra hours work myself this week - not sure the money will come through for one of them, but just got to hope it will.
Chev - I understand going for the tickets! I've decided I'm going to go to see some of the Olympics, and it will have to come from savings, but I can't live 50 miles from the Olympics and not go - who knows if I'll ever get another chance?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

AND go you and the olympic game - KC

Well done to DD how clever. I am always in awe of people who can play an instrument. Mr Watson wouldnt even let me play the triangle as he said I was tone deaf. (two years ago a hearing consultant told me I have a musical ear - ok, so I am partially deaf but at least I have a musical ear). As I will eventually be moving to Salzburg that might come in handy.
I am sorry that money is tight but I have every faith in you. Just look back over your diaries and remind yourself how well you have done. After all, it was those amazing spreadsheets and your ingenuity that got me hooked to your diary. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
and me with the spreadsheets! I have my own marvellous one now :j :j
Cherisong, send me your address, I'm going to send you a triangle in honour of your new found following of your dreams, and so you can finally lay to rest the memory of Mr spoiling-people's-fun Watson0 -
Aww, Cheery, that sounds fabulous but I would hate you to spend fun budget on me.
then again............... if you have one going spare....................Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
I can't think of a more fitting celebratory tribute Cheri! (except perhaps champagne, but you appear to have plenty of that already :rotfl: :rotfl:) Would love to send you one0
