Phew half the ebay lot in envelope!

Morning - time for a cuppa - I'm about to do a huge seed listing - hopefully lots of them and my stash will be further diminished
DD has a cello practise as grade 5 on monday - so we're going into KW
I'm using those couple hours to fill up seed trays at work and use some of the bench space I've been given
Also sort out strawbs for LT
    A bit of writing
Find out about long strips of matting for that garden job
Tomorrow tree planting at a site then I'll be 'honed' for doing that job :)
    More writing
Phone ex-oh about what on earth is happenning at easter with dd flying (long story of epic plonkerness so far)
Hope a bit of gardening too
    Check seeds and sow more
Post seed orders and finish a few plant orders (house plants)
    Write blog :) for fun!

    and

    GULP

Think about listing Iphone on ebay or locally in the paper - tbh I've really no need for it now with the ipad (apple you are a victim of your own success) and OH I love you even more its brilliant and so handy especially things like hte ebay stuff - For a phone I think I'll go back to my ancient nokia for text/calling and invest in a £10/month sim card for my ipad - which I love so much I sleep with it on the pillow beside me so I can sleepily wake up and check ebay/mail/mse.

    Yes I am that sad.

what eveyone upto over the weekend?

    Morning Pippi.

I am alone..........:( (need smiley holding hand to forehead and feigning sorrow) and so I have the whole day to get into mischief!!! Mr C says that every time he comes home furniture has been moved. Hmmm I have nowhere to move the furniture at the moment because it is full of the furniture from the flat.

I found the hill fort :j:j Would you believe that I have been walking to the top of it for the last two years in my quest to find it :rotfl::rotfl:
I finally invested in a proper map and lo and behold there it was. My geography skills are not what they used to be.

I might head out of the village in the opposite direction today and try to get up towards the windmills but I am not sure if the path I have chosen is accessible. There are lots of lambs in the fields at the moment so I need to be extra careful.

  • Cheri I'm alone too - we can spend a 'virtual' weekend together!

OH off skiing, in between being at the hospital with his dad.

Oh to lambs - dunno if we've any here yet.

    :)

I'm home alone too, but I quite enjoy it :)

I need to pull my finger out, get off here and start the accounts for a friend of mine :( Working with numbers all week makes me out this off for as long as possible, bad Maty!

Lovely sunshine, although it was very frosty earlier, I have put the first load of washing on and hope to be able to dry outside today :j

Daffodils are smily and my primroses look gorgeous (my few spring planting successes in the horrible clay soil I have). Oh, and the heather is showing colour too. I do love spring flowers :D

I'm not home alone, but Mr Daffs is busy with projects that involve being shut in a darkened room with the computer, so I might as well be! :rotfl:

WI this morning - I've just been wrapping a couple of parcels, making plum and honey pancakes for breakfast, and kneading some bread to rise for lunch! :j :j

    Gardening this afternoon :j :j :j

Then off to Doncaster for a showcase gig of all the good things that came out of a community arts project that's just had its funding cut... :(

So mostly a pretty jolly day I'd say! Going to miss the mini meet up thing a few folk were having, I just can't get everything in and get back in time! (but I'm not sure I've told anyone, but then I don't think they thought I was going anyway, oh dear!)

Pippi - found you an utterly cheery thing in a charity shop yesterday - just going to bung n the post :D
  • hey there chaps - losing the will to live listing seeds why did I think this is a good idea?

Oh yeah cos they sell - doh!!

Cheery - how exciting I do like parcels and lol to darkened rooms! :)

Not very spring like here Maty snow on the hills here - and stuff like that!

Cheery daft question - the permaculture stuff - its like reading my degree stuff (sustainable development and environmental management - what a mouthful) but written in a hippy-ish manner

Is permaculture just the forerunner to sus dev writing?

    :) morning

    (Cuppa anyone?)

More sales to do and get ready for post, need a cuppa :)

Hya all...just popping on quickly before tidying up the conservatory this morning. Wanted to check on a couple of eBay items I am bidding on (sewing machine feet!) and listening to the cricket - Autralia not going very well atm. Good luck with all your posting Pippi....one of these days I will try and sell something on there....DH has been the one who's done that in the past.

I need to get more seeds sown today, as well as some weeding...feeling well enough to do a bit later.

Not alone this weekend, had hoped for/expected another in fact. DH is collecting DS1 from Uni this afternoon, but dropping him off at his GF's on the way back...so only DS's stuff is coming back today. No doubt DS1 will make it home sometime this coming week :rotfl:

At the moment, DH and DS2 are putting up a pull-up bar for DS2. As we have a small, low-ceilinged cottage, they are having to put it outside in the alley between us and next door...hope it stays up, as the sides of our >300 year-old house are made of crumbly cotswold stone!!!

Once DH comes home this afternoon, we hope to get a bonfire started...so much rubbish to get rid of!! My shredder is not up to dealing with the bigger bits, and we have sorted the much bigger ones for our fire. Our neighbour also wants to get a fire going, so it will be a bit smokey later on! :D

As for planting in odd number, I agree with Pippi, it's easier to get lines with evens, rather than a more random pattern. I will ask DS1 (MMath @ Warwick) about the maths theory behind it when he gets back!

Have a lovely weekend everyone. xx

Morning (just) pass the pot then Pippi, no sugar and black if its earl grey thanks.

I dont mind having odd weekends on my own if Mr C has been around a lot. It is good to have my own space. Pippi, Mr C is foregoing his second skiing holiday in the hopes that we secure this house in Austria, he has worked out that if we do then he can start skiing in November so is prepared to "sacrifice" one week in March. Bully for him - life is hard :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just back from the forest, it is beautiful out there (sorry Pippi) and the daffodils are all smiling and glowing in the sunshine. I noticed quite a lot of heather looking particularly colourful today too. I do love the spring.

2 washes already done and hung out, third wash on and just going to tackle the bathroom. I am going to be really mad and get the steam cleaner out and do the tiles. It must be spring.

have a good day everyone. I shared this earlier on MGs thread, hope you like it.
