Wow very impressed with all the gardening activity, and Cheery I love the sound of your outfit and hope you had a great time. I know what you mean about the last couple of hours - I always dread the appointed time coming and nobody showing up! Hope it was all fun in the end.
Dull and grey here today, lots to get on with though, better get nose to grindstone...0 -
Dull and grey here too, both internal to my head and outside the window
Feeling a bit pants about something mindless MrA did yesterday, and even though he's apologised til he's blue in the face for being a twerp, I'm not quite over it yet and am still feeling hurt that something took precedence over spending time with me....but I am trying hard not to let it cloud my day as he didn't realise how stupid he was and was astonished/sad at my reaction and had better have learned from it (or else, lol)......*sigh* Anyway, he knows if he does it again, I'll probably tell him to naff off, so we shall see.....
It's also payday, and I've done my sums and have a stupidly small amount to live on for food, petrol, DD's birthday celebrations (I think I have enough presents in my box to be able to get away with not buying anything else) for the month.
But on the good side, a freecycler is giving me a music stand so that DD and I can play our various instruments without having to squint down at the sheet music on the floor/propped up against a table, and I'm going to force myself to go for a swim at lunchtime, as the freecycler is on the way to the pool, so can "afford" the petrol to do it now0 -
That sounds good, Kittikins - but sorry MrA made such a blunder. Pippi, hope you're doing okay today, and catching up with the thesis.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

hi all
got a day off today but the weather isn't playing ball, it's all grey and i need to get lots of washing dry
it's also payday today - yay but it's pretty much gone already, doesn't that always seem to be the way. i wonder how long it is to payday again0 -
March is a l-o-n-g expensive month for me, thank goodness I don't have council tax or water bills again this month or I'd sink!! Need to get back into doing surveys and cut down on my social life, oh well, I guess it means cosy nights in with MrA rather than paying for babysitters, not necessarily a bad thing0

it's just so hard to cut down on having a social life sometimes ... hope you manage it0
-
Well, to be honest, I haven't had much of a social life for the past 2 and a bit years and have only recently started going out for girly drinkies and stuff, then I met MrA so have been combining the 2 which has been divine but with the odd babysitting fee thrown in, has ended up being far too expensive for me to carry on, what with paying back a big loan to my parents.
Oh well, mustn't grumble, I've enjoyed each and every night outMy cupboards are full of dented tins and pasta/rice, cartons of milk etc, so we won't starve, I just need to stop driving the car so much - hmm, maybe even more working from home is in order

Another one here with a long hard month ahead. Total of £121 to last the month for everything from food, petrol, and all other incidentals. Yikes - will need some of Pippis inspirations me thinks. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0
