Everyone must be busy out and about this morning...back on again....and my parcel has arrived!!!:j:j:j
Thank you sooo much Pippi you are an :A, as for the "surprise"...always wanted to grow them!:):)
I love the way that things posted in the far north reach us the next day (almost always). Whereas, tickets from Worcester (only 30 mins drive away) still haven't arrived, despite having been posted over a week ago!!! The problem was, the tickets were for a rugby match on the Sunday just gone:eek:! Luckily DH got it sorted and they picked up new ones when they went to the ground. Sounds like they weren't the only ones with problems though....major c**k-up there!!!
Had a bad night's sleep (should have got to bed earlier), so a bit behind with everything. Going into work later to catch up on various changes that have happenend in the last month or so. I haven't worked there for a while, but back on Saturday, so need to know what things have changed. Also hope to get loads more hours in April (one member of staff off for lambing)...so need to get up to speed now.
Have a good day all...now, must get a move on!

Hello everyone, I'm around - had work laptop issues late last night and an important call to go on this morning which was a pain, but thankfully the IT chap sorted it out for me, am just snowed under with work
and working from home and unlikely to see MrA *sigh*, the offer was put out there, but I'm kind of hoping he can't pop over as I've got too much to do and lo and behold, another mammoth task has been dumped on my lap but I've just put my hands up, told them I'm swamped and don't have capacity to do it and now feel massively guilty

). You shouldn't feel guilty though...can you delegate work to someone else to ease your workload? It's better to some work well, rather that try to do too much and do a bad job all round (speaking from bitter experience!
).
Good luck for the rest of the day/week/month!

Unfortunately I can't delegate, I am the lowest of the pecking order....if my nasty boss (the one who contributed to my health issues) had asked me on the phone I would have ended up saying yes but as it was someone beneath her who doesn't scare me, I said no and apologised profusely and said if things change I'll do it, but I know I won't have time to the way things are at the moment. I might tell my nice boss that I've turned something down in case of any repurcussions, or just talk about it during our 121 this month. He's very supportive and knows that nasty boss can be too much for anyone to take!
I made myself very ill over the last year with stressing about work, which affected nearly every aspect of my life, am getting out of it but really can't afford to slide back again.
Oh well, I'd better stop wittering on and actually get on with some of the work0 -
Go for it KK - on the work, and on not sliding back into saying "yes" to everyone. You can do it.
Hugs to you and to Pippi, Keiss and all ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hugs to everyone today ((((((()_)))))))))))
LT, you should so blog about your allotment! Mine always makes me get out there because I know people are reading it! :T (and my mum rings me up if I don't put anything on it for a few days :rotfl:)

Work - dashing xx0 -
Cheery, it's strange as i thought i'd got the link to your blog but the entry is always the same one whereas i did the same thing with Pippi's and the entry is always the newest one. guess i'm doing sommit wrong.
I'm another who's not good at saying no to things at work. i do have a team to delegate to but sometimes by the time you've explained something 5 times, answered numerous 'stupid questions' and then checked and correct what they've done it's easier to do it yourself.0 -
LT - clicking on my name and the homepage link here should take you straight to my blog I think (unless I've done something daft - not out of the question!)0

hey all .. been excited reading what everyone is up to re gardening ... here's a wee question for ya (if you can help me i would be very grateful) ... hubby hates "green in the house" as he puts it ... he hates all the soil lying about ( you know the wee bits that always slip outa the tubs) and all the mess that goes with potting things up /and keeping things inside... is there a way round this all that i can do ... i want to get some things potted up ( peppers, tomatoes, chillis etc) but dont fancy the whole arguements that will ensue with doing it inside0

Elantan
I use trays and keep everything off the sills.
Also using jiffy 7's this year (google that to see) - kinda mini pots which I'll start each seed in - it can grow there until it's ready for potting all mess then goes outside
Hope that helps......Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0
