Lt ds has one and loves it. Saw lots of folks with them when I was travelling.
If you can do it - I'd go for it, since getting his ds hasn't put it down xxx
Just in doing tea - catching up

thanks Pippi, sometimes i wonder if i just want things because i get it in my head and yet a couple of weeks later i've forgotten about them. Given that i have wi fi at home, do you think i should just buy the wi fi one or do you think i would regret not spending the little extra for the 3g one? or am i just being silly?
Mr LT baked some cakes today, including carrot cake, something i've never done before. Unfortunately he mixed his tsp and tbsp of ginger and nutmeg so it was an acquired taste0 -
i was thinking similar LT but i have to admit i think i would miss holding a book and the smell of a book brings back lovely memories for me .... but then i think of the trees and i feel really guilty0

i don't feel guilty about the tree el, if they don't cut down the old ones there's not space for the new ones to grow. but i do wonder if i will miss the smell and feel of books. I have to admit that initially i wasn't sure about the whole grey thing about it but i can see the reason for it now i've seen one in person. Plus it will take less space to store everything.0

A few of my friends have kindles, but I do prefer my books, At least if you fall asleep in the bath and drop it you can dry it on the radiator!! I somehow think that a kindle may not survive!!
I do have to say that if you are traveling that you can cut down on some of the wieght of carrying books. ( says the one who has been known to take 10 books away with her for a long weekend away!!!)"Aunty C McB-Wik"
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"

All cakes are of course evil - but yay to mr lt baking.
Lt my lovely mr stripes as you know got me an iPad for chrissy. :A anyhow I didn't want 3G but he insisted saying if nowt else and I hated my iPad after a week more features it had, easier to sell on if I didn't like it. He also argued that if you can afford the extra then why not - these things are fun and indulgent.
Whatever you do don't lend it to wik in the bath......

Hi pippa nice to see ya0

i once read 13 books during a 14 day holiday, thankfully they had a book box so you could swap books with the other inmates in the hotel. I think it could come in handy when we visit the out laws, they don't understand how someone could enjoy reading but would probably understand someone looking at a screen0
