ROFL @ KK - wicked Mum!! :rotfl:
Pippi glad to hear you are feeling better, and you were indeed brave taking the bull by the horns with the taxman. Goes to show though that sometimes it's better just to get on with things as they are rarely as bad as you fear they are *going* to be.I need to remember that message myself sometimes!
:o
Pocket handkerchief sized bit of garden has now been dug over by the way, and given a second dig this weekend to really turn the soil over. we have LOADS of worms, which is excellent, and in spite of our neglect the soil quality looks amazingly good - our compost is way better than we expected too and as well as having put lots into the pocket handkerchief we still have a bagful to use.MrEH says he reckons we shouldn't put any more into the area we plan to plant veggies into though as we're planning on planting a bit of a mixed bag of stuff, and not everything likes too high quality soil - I can see the sense in this I think, are we right do you think?

Hi Pippi - this is early for you after so much illness! Glad to see you back! Unfortunately, your illness has migrated down south to my house .... sob .... and I was doing so well .... Hope your chickens are okay, anyway. And the work2023: the year I get to buy a car0

As a chicken keeper can you please advise how much work they involve.
I am thinking of getting two this year. I have a very large outdoor rabbot hutch they could live in and I will construct a nice run around it. I leave for work at 6am in the morning and get home at 6pm at night so I will have only a few minutes to spend on them morning and evening but lots of time at the weekend. Am I being impractical. I have to look after two rabbits outside anyway so it's not going outside in the dark that's a problem.

Cat woman - no you are not being impractical, I think you'll do just fine and hens are no harder than rabbits!!
Better actually because they give you eggs.
go for it!
Nice to see you on here - hope that helps
I bought chicken keeping for dummies - tells me everything I need to know. But the Internet is also a marvel.
