Good luck with the writing to Pippi and Cheery.
Also, my direct debit for water is going DOWN by £8pm from March. I'm convinced it's the water butts!

Hope you're starting to feel better Pip...look after yourself.

Back to the course work now (Excel)....on the final set of exercises before I do the pre-assessment exercise. I have a tutorial on Monday to discuss how I got on...so have to get my finger out!! :D

Listening to Andy's match now....did watch a bit earlier when tidying up the sitting room. Ooh...nearly there...only two points away from winning the match in the fourth set tie-break...might go and watch it...no, must be strong...have to get some work done!!

Have a great day everyone...chilly but sunny here...but the wind-chill!!!:eek:

He's won!!! Andy's in the final!!!!
Guess I'll be ironing on Sunday!! :D:D

Hey pippi, you'll be proud of me - I just went to the Co-op in my wellies :rotfl: :rotfl: Absolutely no reason at all, was just thinking I wanted to pop out, but not thrilled at the thought of going all the way upstairs for my shoes - then realised I didn't have to! :j :j :j Hasn't rained for about a week :rotfl: :rotfl: I enjoyed it though :D

Hello Virgoean welcome, what LT said but nobody has mentioned the pancakes and hobnobs that we share.

EH what a picture I now have painted in my head.

I love it around Loch Lomond it is my heaven. Espescially playing Its a kind of magic at full blast as you tootle along the roads. I nearly bought a shop in Arrochar! Right on Loch Long overlooking the Ben Arthur and the Cobbler. Oh and right next door to the couple who bought a house on Relocation Relocation Sorry, just felt the need to share.

My Mum was from Loch Long :D A little place called Cove. From about 5 years old she would catch the train from Glasgow on her own, then the ferry to Kilcreggan and walk to Cove. You wouldn't dare let a little one do that nowadays. And my pal's Granny is from Klinda.

Such a beautiful part of the country, love the west coast :T

Hi Vigoean, I am an occasional poster here too :) Cheery's pancake are legendary and I am partioal to a HobNob or two :o

Cheery - Wellies can be worn anytime, anywhere, they are all terrain footwear :rotfl:

Good contrast me thinks, My life would not be complete without music. Whilst I dont have a big cd collection now I am trying to build it back up. I love all kinds of music. I am always searching for new recordings of something. OH loves music but his taste is much more refined than mine. He can be a music snob sometimes. So I listen to rubbish when he is out.

The blog is a bit scary - I don't know how many of my family/friends read it and would be scared to put it on facebook etc (but the link is there) tbh - most folk think I'm more than a little odd - especially my family (what OH's family make of me I've no idea) - in RL - I'm very shy but gobby - its a very wierd combination. I'll think about it though - I'm not sure anyone would really want to read it due to my randomness.
It never ceases to amaze me that I have "connected" with people who are so like me. I am very shy but people dont realise this because I am gobby too also I used to dance on stage, act and enter public speaking competitions so nobody believes that I am terrified in new company and just have no clue how to start a conversation. Mind you once I start I dont shut up :rotfl::rotfl:

Cheery and I had a conversation about it when we were here - I like that you're all out there and I'm not lonely anymore - I suffer terribly from lonlieness - but no more now I've found you all and the blog reader/comments make me feel the same. On a lot of days you guys can be the only folk who I 'talk' too aside the kids or a call from OH.
I really understand this. Since moving away I miss my friends, find it difficult to make new friends here as I dont work in an office and so dont get to meet people regularly. When OH is away I can go for a whole week without speaking to anybody. This place is a lovely place to come.

I know I don't make sense. I love that folk read my diary but I'd be very scared if anyone in my 'other' RL did - iyswim - I like that I can be me here - I'm pretty scared of folk in general. I've made such a mess of my own money/life/family in lots of ways and being here is nice cos no one judges you.

Oh dear, now I just sound very silly.
Not silly at all, I suspect we all feel like that. It is hard to be yourself when other people have such expectations.

I know what I'm meaning - no one else (apart from OH and a few very close chums) gets it all like you guys do :kisses3:

THANK YOU SO MUCH for writing this. This is JUST how I feel most of the time between the two of you. I am so glad it isn't just me. Seriously I have been here 2.5 years and I have made 1 friend. And even then the whole summer holidays she hasn't been in touch. Ok I haven't either but I am shy too (you would never know). And all the other people I have met here are nice but no invites out, or around for coffee/bbq or anything. It really sucks. So THANK YOU for being here too for me guys. I really appreciate it. I can tell we are similar people - I just posted the link about the free tomatoes on my facebook page! So pippi will get it twice.

Cheri I was looking at MOO;s blog. Oh I love it an him. Can you call something that big cute. I have to say I couldn't deal with the drool though. Sorry MOO.

Still I am sure one of the reasons for feeling lonely is I don't have a pet. This is almost the first time EVER since I was 18 months old I haven't had a pet and i am over 40 now!

Aww Chev, welcome to the feeling sorry for ourselves club!! Yes shyness is always a block in my personal life. I can talk to anybody in a work mode but then we usually have something in common to start the conversation. It is the starting the conversation that is the hardest thing I think. Once I find common ground with somebody then I dont shut up :)
Thanks for the comment on Moo. Yes you can call something that cute. He is cuter than lots of little dogs we meet. If I did not have him I would feel so much more lonely, at least I get to chat with people when I am out with him. He attracts a lot of attention. Maybe you should get your own dog, it is a start for making friends. It worked in my last town but where I am now can be very perochial, if you see what I mean.

VL - hope you found him. If not give me a shout.

Pippi hope that all is well with you and that you have recovered from the lurgy. Just seen the chickens. I havent read it yet because I am blasting through the office and spare room in an attempt to move things around. Fancy a trip here to help with the garden? I keep looking out of the window and sighing :( Sun is shining so it makes me want to get out there and sort it. That is on my list this spring. One step forward as we do have the fence now.

  • splutters in - I think I have the chicken cold, not as bad as piggy flu - but not great

About to settle on the sofa with a cuppa and catch up

Chev I've only scanned it but I'm the same - xxxx - glad you're all here for me

    I need a duvet

Don't feel sorry for me - I'm hardly ever sick, so I deserve a dose of something now and again xx

At least I'm admitting defeat and being in bed or on sofa
