hehe, I think the stray is one smart kitty! He walked up to the trap - Had a smell, Then walked away! However, All mine love boxes! One of mine's been trapped this morning! :(

Think its going to be a long few days, However, i'm sure it will all work out right in the end! :) xxx

The feral I have in the house ATM I managed to catch by feeding her at the door, then just inside. She was too wise for the trap too. Itmight be worth considering, but of course anything not in the trap will distract him, he needs to be hungry to go in there.

Also make sure the bedding and food etc won't stop/slow the trap mechanism. I was told to put nothing...no bedding, no bowls...just food on the floor of it.

Thanks for that, I personally dont think its going to work. This morning, I have managed to trap over 6 different cats & already had a moaning neighbour at my door.

The only cat we caught was our neighbours. But i didn't know. I had to apologise for the shaved side (shaved to check for neuter scars) and with the apology give them the great news their cat didn't have cat aids. :o:o:o Thank fully my neighbours are cat lovers too and understood I meant well.:o

Princess you are doing an amazing job.It is incredible, the lengths you have gone to to help this cat.If only you could explain to it you are only trying to help.

We are all willing it to go into your trap.Whatever the outcome,at least it won't be suffering out in the freezing cold any more.

I caught the little so n so!

However, I can promise the outcome aint good for this chap!

He is coming across as very aggressive towards people.! I see this for myself when i nearly fell and broke my neck, As he was like a crazed kitty!

He is of a very good weight! Me & the RSPCA woman couldn't lift the cage with him in there! Infact my neighbour came out and had to help, Which might be a good sign as he clearly getting food from somewhere.

As i'm writing this, I'm close to tear's, I don't like to think what might be! But i keep telling myself, It aint about me, Its about the kitty!

He is off to my local vets now, The RSPCA worker lives in my street so i'm going down to her house later to find out what the result is!

I will of course uodate again, When i hear whats next for this stray! :(:(:(:(

Thanks again for your continued support all xx

Princess, they are heavy and strong....I was amazed twhen I lifted the first feral here, I almost toppled over, these ones are solid muscle, no spare fat though...hence strength too.

I took mine to the vet this morning, its been a couple of months and she's ''not easy'' but she can be stroked and touched and at a push lifted. But usually, if they are well, its kinder to catch, nueter and release I think...if they can be released safely somewhere they don't do harm or come to harm.

Brilliant news.I just wish everyone that asked for help on here over problems with animals would keep us up to date like you have. There is nothing more frustrating than a lot of people trying to help and then you never hear the outcome. There has been a lot of that on here lately.
  • Hopefully, Last update for the little so n so!

Late last night the women from the RSPCA came around for one last time!

My vet had looked the stray, Agreed it’s feral and give it sedation for examination. He was riddled in flea’s, needing a wash & lots of grub, But thankfully, his mouth condition was nothing serious. (Cracked tooth apparently)

So now he needed the all clear from the aids test! Good news is…

He is completely healthy! Not one thing wrong! All bloods & test was clear!

Last night at 10:40pm, He was taken for his man hood removal whilst the foster home was being prepared!

However, there is some bad news…

Is he Infact someone’s cat! They have traced the owners, who funny enough had moved from my street to the street behind, if that makes sense, this was their excuse...

“ He is a 1 year old cat that needed to find his feet, He is in no way aggressive towards us, But is towards other people & other animals. We leave him out over the week – And pamper him on weekends when he is allowed home! “

    They were then asked:-

Why didn’t you come forward when many of neighbours left leaflets?”

    Their answer was:-
It’s a cat if neighbours don’t like him, and then it’s their problem, just throw a stone or push him away – No harm done!”

The RSPCA women asked “do you want your cat back, if you can show improvement can be made, you can support him & work with his issues you can apply for him back”

Again they replied “No he is worthless now with no!!!!!!!! (His man hood)

Last question the rubbish & spiteful owners was:

Are you willing to make payment to the neighbours who love animal owners, who have had to pay more then once due to injuries your cat has caused?

I bet you can guess the answer….NO!

So, Last night, she told me that the RSPCA are going to press charges of animal cruelty!
At least now, this poor pet, is going to be somewhere warm for Christmas, Hopefully in the New Year – It will be a new start for this poor fellow!

I am in Sheer disbelieve I can’t believe that someone can be so cruel, However I am happy that I have finally made some what of a happy future for this animal!

Thanks again for everyone's help and support,

  • Fabulous news that all is well and that he will be on his way to a new loving home - as one fellow cat lover to another I know how hard it is to watch an animal in distress. The fact that he has been so badly neglected is horrible, but cats are resiliant creatures.

    xxxx

PS You know it isnt his manhood he has had removed dont you, just the two dangly things behind it! God forbid if the rspca went round chopping w*nkies off
  • Doesn't it just show you that animals are like children, it is how they are raised which dictates their behaviour.
Poor poor Kitty, no wonder he was aggressive, shoved out all week and then only wanted at weekends, talk about mixed messages, it's like a child living with an unpredictable parent abuser, Grrr, can you tell how mad I am..........
