    Rapists

    And Mob violence.

Good grief, you do choose the best in our society dont you.

well yes, clearly pointing out the error of your argument over not confronting the people you complain about wouldn't have worked had i used flowers or balloons or something would it?

this is getting a little silly now isn't it?

I have not complaind about anyone, however no you dont have to approach them with flowers and balloons.....maybe just a kind word and a smile would do it.

This is not getting silly at all,you have put your word across and i am merely responding to it,its what you wanted is it not.I assume it was otherwise you would not have put it on an open forum.

Now i think its clear that you do not like these scrap merchants, that much is clear by the way you describe them,im merely getting my point across by saying you dont actually know what they are like, you have never approached them you were assuming that they are so called council fodder, who are thieves and a menace and there vehicles are totally unroadworthy.

I understand that this is a thread about venting, however you have to expect people to disagree with you.

sorry i should have said you should expect (some) people to disagree with you in my last post.

  • yes, and as i've repeatedly pointed out to you i have no problem with anyone disagreeing with me and enjoy a little banter on the subject.

why you keep repeating 'people can disagree with you' and over and over when i keep saying that i have no problem with it is quite frankly beyond me. it's as if you're trying to put across the impression that i object to anyone disagreeing with me despite me pointing out in numerous posts that i don't.

why do you insist on doing this? i can't make it any clearer to you.

    .

As you say,you enjoy a little banter on the subject as do i.Yet when i try to banter with you on this very subject you told me it was getting silly when quite clearly it wasnt.as i pointed out to you it was not getting silly i was merely responding to your post.

I have had many a heated and not so heated banter with quite a few people of this website for nearly a year now,and i point out to everyone who does not like the replies to there thread, that we are not all here to agree with your every word.

I have posted quite a few threads and i have had numerous positive and negative responses to them,it does not bother me one jot,as i take peoples responses as being there opinion, all apart from those ones that start to use bad language because that the only way they can get there argument across, them ones i just ignore.

then banter away, but don't attempt to pass off banter as continual and irrelevant references to my occupation and attempts to somehow imply that i object to people disagreeing with me when i have absolutely no such objection. that is what is silly about your posts, not the fact that you wish to exercise your right to disagree with anything i may say.

your first implication that unless you are willing to confront something personally then you have no business complaining about it was, again, a silly thing to say and i pointed that out to you. people complain every day about, for example the government, without going on protests or attempting to gain a personal audience with the prime minister. to say that you shouldn't be complaining unless you personally confront people was plainly a ridiculous thing to say.

putting that aside, i invite you to banter away to your heart's content and we will doubtless disagree elsewhere on the board in future.

don't know about the rest of you but round where i live the number of people who have (forgive me here) crawled off their council estates and bought falling-apart transit pickups to drive around all day scrounging scrap is getting beyond belief!

Tell me - on the flipside, what's your take on the unemployed who sit on their ar*es all day doing nowt without the gumption to get out there and earn a few quid?

You've got to have some special thought processes going on to have a problem with some poor sod trying to make a living.....
Oh come on, don't be silly.

    what an absolutely ridiculous statement.

i could say exactly the same thing about the amount of abuse received by 'poor sods' such as traffic wardens, car park attendants clamping cars, door to door salesman hard selling the elderley, people who ring up your phone cold calling and so on.

your argument that because people are just 'making a living' somehow makes them immune to criticism is ridiculous.

(although you will doubtless now tell me that you have absolutely no problem with any of the occupations i've mentioned above.)
