I get paid on Thursday & that's when I tend to go a bit overboard  - please help me out!!!

I used to do this (and to be honest sometimes still do :o ), but now, when I get my monthly salary, I get on the phone and down to the post office and pay ALL my debts and bills for the follwing month. This requires extreme restaint and will-power as I look at all that lovely money sat there........

We then live off OH's weekly wage, safe in the knowledge we're debt free (for a month :j

    Hi Moozie,

Sorry I think I have missed this thread! I have no internet access at weekends (I know, people think I live in the dark ages!).
Can I join? I do a monthly budget and allow myself £10 per week "misc" money for the odd lunch, glass of wine at the pub, birthday cards, stamps etc. However this is the bit I usually overspend on. I won't be counting bills, groceries or debt repayment.
So I drew out a shiny new £10 note this morning and haven't spent any yet, but I haven't brought my lunch today (thought I had a work lunch but it's been moved to Wednesday) so that will be £2.

Imelda, of course you can join in! :T We particularly like people from the dark ages :p :rotfl:

Good luck and don't forget to help with 'opening shop' when I can't be here :o

I had a really bad weekend for spending. On saturday I took the kids to Great Yarmouth for the day as it was the last day the seafront would be 'holidayised'. It cost £11.60 to get there by bus. Then we went in the cafe which cost another £8.40. Then we bought ice creams which was another £2.60. On the way home we stopped off at the pizza takeaway but luckily my boyfriend paid for that.

On sunday we went to Asda to buy a few things we needed to take on holiday and spent about £12.

So you see it was a very bad weekend.

I've just realised, why is this the Sunday to Friday challenge? Are Saturdays kept free so we can all go berserk then? :rotfl:

That's true! Suits me though as I have a separate weekend budget which I am very good at sticking to (and the left over money from the weekend usually subsidies my frivolous weekday spending). I tend to give myself £20 for Friday night and Saturday socialising.

Anyway, have had my lunch it was £1.75, but got a £2 coin in my change, so that has to go in my pot, so have "spent" £3.75. Not good.
