Evening all!
Succeeded in last weeks challenge budgeted £20 and spent just under £10, mainly due to having to rearrange my trip to the pictures!!
My budget for this week is going to be costly, I've already spent £25 on petrol and £10.98 on some groceries for my Dad who comes back from holiday tomorrow so should get that back....if he remembers!!!
Going to pictures tomorrow and then getting some tea afterwards so that will be about £15, got some bedding to get for the horse so im going to say my budget is £50 more than normal but hopefully will be under it.Debt Free Nerd 1700 -

Thank you sweetie! I do love this forum and this thread and it's so much easier to post during the weekend! I can only dip in and out when I am at work which is not how I like to do it.
I know you will have a great honeymoon and even if you let your hair down a bit, it is very much allowed! This is a very special time after all

Hi Moozie,
We did our Tesco shop, although I took a bit of a back seat this time - I'm not good at going shopping with my wife! Total spend £26.40.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

However, she probably feels the same!
You are absolutely right Moozie - normally EITHER I do it, or my wife does it - we are both good shoppers in our own right, but always end up arguing if we shop together:rolleyes: My wife tends to buy the odd little treat that she likes - like dried fruit, knowing that I can't stand it, whereas I would go for something that EVERYBODY should like - like a couple of cans of beer (well, I did say SHOULD like) :rotfl: :rotfl:
Now perhaps you understand why we shop separately.:rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Arghhhhhh....Lynseyjane, your comment about the sour milk has just reminded me that I forgot to pay for my toasted t-cake and pot of tea this morning. The jug of milk was off when I poured and then when I had finished, I just left without paying.
I'd better ring them in the morning & grovel.
I had intended to enter this challenge this week, but as it's half-term, I think I'll hang fire until next.
Sorry Moosie. :wave:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Only spent about £12 this weekend but won £10 on the lottery! A net spend of £2! That'll do for me! :cool:0

Hi Moozie,
Sorry I think I have missed this thread! I have no internet access at weekends (I know, people think I live in the dark ages!).
Can I join? I do a monthly budget and allow myself £10 per week "misc" money for the odd lunch, glass of wine at the pub, birthday cards, stamps etc. However this is the bit I usually overspend on. I won't be counting bills, groceries or debt repayment.
So I drew out a shiny new £10 note this morning and haven't spent any yet, but I haven't brought my lunch today (thought I had a work lunch but it's been moved to Wednesday) so that will be £2.Saving for an early retirement!0
