Yes, just received the same letter about the first £1 DD coming out on my birthday! Have jotted down to cancel the same day too.

I emailed them on Monday, got the same standard message reply and not heard anything more since so don't hold your breath.

Still waiting for the xmas issue - getting ridiculous now - should have had mine last Saturday as I'm in the London area. :mad:

We recd our first radio times over a week ago but we have no letter and we haven't had £1 deducted either. Also we haven't recd our xmas edition yet

To all concerned they havent had the christmas double issue. I have been on a forum and the people on there are all in the same boat, still waiting. There is nothing sinister going on because you have signed up to the £1 offer (lilmissworry), the official reason is that where the subscriptions are sent out from has had problems due to the snow. Your guess is as good as mine as to when they will actually come but they will, even if you have cancelled the DD after the £1 payment.
I am a postman and my delivery office has still not had any sent in yet.
I have emailed BBC magazines and asked why it is taking so long even though the snow has pretty much gone in most of the country, but have not had a reply yet.

18th!? I need to plan my Xmas viewing before then. I don't think any have gone out at all yet, that's a long time.

I was going to continue with the subscription past the trial period because I like the magazine, but am so !!!!ed off, have cancelled my dd. It's ridiculous that you can buy it in the shops but subscribers are being penalised.

Pretty much gone?? Try living in Glasgow, Edinburgh, in fact pretty much anywhere in Scotland this week! Worst snow in 50 years!

(Can't imagine the Radio Times distribution centre is here mind you!)

On the 30th November I received issue dated 11-17th December. Today (9th) I received issue dated 4-10th December (!) fat lot of good that is now! So I spoke to Customer Services - they really are very nice! - who've extended my 8 weeks for for another week (i.e. 9 weeks). She said there's a problem with the distribution centre (Kent?) - backlog due to weather.
She told me that the next issue (Xmas double issue) should be with me by the 14th December, and if it isn't, to give them another call. And that if I want to cancel the sub after the 8 (9) weeks, just give them a call in January, they'll cancel and I'll still get all the issues promised. HTH

I ordered the 12 weeks for £1 on Friday 24th Sept - So do I have to cancel TODAY ie the 10th Dec or do I have till 17th?????

It doesn't say on my order confirmation...

I wanted to receive the Christmas issue first of course!
