Awww how lovely Starnac - and under 7k - woo! :j:j:T

Crossing fingers you get a nice quick referral to get your mind set at rest about DS's hearing too. Nasty having worry like that hanging over you.

Do you want to hear something funny? Ever since the SALT came last week DS has been chatting no end. He's talking in sentences and the words he uses are become more clear. *rolley eye smilie* on the other hand I have noticed that he watches my mouth a lot when I'm talking to him. Now that is something I do all the time as lip reading really helps, especially if there's a lot of background noise, so I'm not sure if that's a learned behaviour or something he does to help him hear? Struggling to get him up the doctors this week though :(

The SALT is coming again on Friday though to do some "sound recognition" with him, whatever that is. We'll see.

I do seem to be a bit more relaxed about it than I was. If he does have hearing problems, which it's likely that he doesn't, then we can deal with it. It's not that big an issue really.

Morning all. DS loved the sound recognition session he did today. The SALT (I know her through church) allowed me to photocopy the cards so I can do it at home with him during the week before she comes again next Friday. :D

In money news it is payday from both jobs today. 2nd job wages seem a bit low so I need to check that on my payslip next week.

Anyway £63.42 from 2nd job. £3.42 went to small savings £60 plus a main account round down of £5.38 went to loan.

    June Challenge £437.09/£500
    Amount "made" £210/£232.92

So with 3 days left in the month I am £62.91 short of target. £22.92 of which should be "made". I am away this weekend on a youth weekend so not sure if I will make it. I will try though

Just checking in after my weekend away. Was a good weekend and I managed to get more sleep than last year as they were warned that boys trying to get upstairs to see the girls in their bedrooms (and vice versa) would not be tolerated. Plus we tired them out with activities going on til 11pm both nights ;)

Come home to 2 sales on the dreaded bay of e and one on gumtree. So £32.98 to add to the make £10 a day in June challenge thread. I smashed my target of £250 there and made £318.79 altogether. :j

I have some money shuffling to do before I do the monthly round up as there is some money yet to be paid off the loan. I will do that and come back

Okay. £45 paid off loan. Made up from £30 from this weekend's sales and £15 I had off a friend for cleaning that I hadn't moved since the cheque had cleared.

    June Challenge £482.09/£500
    Amount "made" £255/£232.92

So I made my "amount made" challenge and also got the balance of the loan under £7k :j but I didn't make the £500 challenge :( I am £17.91 short. So unless I can somehow find while I put DD to bed then I think I haven't made it :(

I'm off to put DD to bed then I will do the monthly update.

Personal spends that I know are happening this month

Piano lessons DD x2- £20 I'm not sure what happens over the summer holiday. She doesn't teach over the half term holidays but not sure whether she will over the big holidays?
Dancing DD x3- £15 only 3 weeks til the holidays
    Run club x4 - £10
Nursery DS - £170 2 days a week so that I can work from home
Birthdays x2 - £5 this is a maximum for presents as I hope to either make something or have something suitable in my present drawer.
Spree - £20 we are away this weekend on a youth camping trip. Shouldn't really spend much but I have budgeted for ice creams etc

The childcare costs and DD's activities are budgeted from my main account. The rest will need to come from my spends account.

We are also 3 weeks away from the summer holidays. I have some money saved in my fun account for activities and fun stuff over the holidays but I am also hoping to do a lot of free stuff too.

After a big sort out of my wardrobe I realise I am very short of decent tops. I am planning to have a look around the charity shops and see what I can find. That will need to come out of my spending account not my main account.

I also didn't do very well with reducing my overdraft this month so I'm planning on having another frugal month to rectify that. I may leave my main account card at home so I can't spend on it.

    So challenges for July.

DH thinks we should aim for £500 again as we missed the figure by £17 :( in June.

We also need a declutter challenge as we have so much stuff it's suffocating at times :o I think a declutter of 20 items would be a good one.

I am also doing the Make £10 a day challenge for a July. I have put my target at £250 for the month and hopefully the decluttering will help boost this challenge too.

    Off we go.....

I am having a pretty carp day today and I'm feeling quite upset by something that happened this morning. DS and I have therefore had a quiet day. I thought I had best do something productive before I end up spending my day eating biscuits and watching Paw Patrol on YouTube ;)

I have cleaned the kitchen, put some washing out and cleaned the woodwork. I have also decluttered one box from the bathroom :T to get me started.
