    Thank you ladies.

Fair bit going on here money wise.

£70.80 wages from 2nd job went in. £60 went to holiday savings, 80p went to small savings and £10 went to loan
£10 from cashing in some clothes. That went to the loan
And DH did an afternoon's work for a friend £40 to the loan from that.

Altogether £60 paid off loan, all of which was earned.

  • Good idea to keep a total of how much paid off each month. I will try that too ;)

Hi fed up of debt I find I work better if I have a target to work towards so setting myself monthly targets really work for me.

Keeping a list of what I've paid off each month helps with motivation to keep me going. I suppose it's just finding out what works for you :)

Glad to see all going well apart from the chicken pox - poor DS, I bet he was miserable! better to have it now than as an adult though...says she, speaking from experience!

Oh no did you have it as an adult? How awful. We actually think he caught it off a friend's au pair as she came out with it just before him and we had been round there for DS to play with my friend's son!

She was quite poorly bless her. DH has never had it and hasn't even caught it off the kids either when they have had it! He must be super human :rotfl:

Thank you for the pompomless cheerleaders. I like them :j :j

I am pooped! So glad the kiddies are in bed now. I've got about 10minutes peace before DH comes home.

Youth club was manic tonight. There seemed to be kids everywhere! I had a quiet word with one of the ladies who help out tonight. We've got a meeting next week and when I had the agenda on Sunday there was an item on there that I am dreading tbh. Im really worried that it's going to end up as a massive dig at me. :( I'm hoping I'm just overreacting but at the last meeting the lady who has asked for this item to go on the agenda had a right go at me over something she had heard, (which was not correct by the way) and went on and on for ages at me. Thankfully I could tell her that she was wrong and that she shouldn't listen to gossip.

Now though she's asked for this item to go on the agenda and I'm worried it's going to end up the same as last time. I've been trying to think of what she might say and I'm getting quite wound up. DH said that if she does have a go at me I should just say "this isn't the place to discuss this. If you want to talk to me privately about it then I am happy to do so" which I think I might do.

I did ask one of the ladies tonight if she knew what this lady was going to say and her reply was "if she thinks she can have a dig at you like last time she's got another thing coming!" :rotfl: that does make me feel better, knowing I've got someone on my side, however, it does mean that someone else thinks it's going to be a dig at me too :( I need to let it go and just wait til next week I know.

Sorry for the moan but I can't do it anywhere else as I don't want her to hear that I am talking about her (or that she's got me worried!) ;)

Money wise, I made the regular overpayment of £82 to the loan. Figures now look like this:

Morning all. Hope you have all had a lovely weekend.

Both good and bad money news this last couple of days. Our car needed a service so like good little car owners we booked it in. Result?? £500  it needed new brakes and pads and 4 new tyres! I know it's important to get done but £500????? Gutted is not the word!

On the upside I had started a small savings account for "car stuff" so I had some money in there and DH has been doing some overtime in order to pay more off our loan. All that overtime money has now gone to paying for the car! :( that it couldn't go to paying off some of our debt but :T that the bill didn't make our debt increase. So swings and roundabouts i suppose.

I also sold some baby stuff on the weekend. Makes me sad that we won't have any more babies here but pleased to have made some money and did a bit of decluttering at the same time. I am also more than happy with the 2 babies I have

It's the dreaded meeting tonight. DH has to work late so he won't be there for moral support. *deep breaths* it'll be fine it'll be fine (and repeat).

A friend has asked me to clean for her tonight so I'll get a bit of money for that. Think I will use the cash for things like DD's dance lessons and move the money I would have taken out of the bank to move over to the loan. If that makes sense?

Got a quiet day home with DS today. I need to do some tidying upstairs and some pottering out the back but apart from that not much else. DH has just taken DD to school and as soon as he gets back I'm off for a quick run before he has to leave for work.
