Aw lass ((((((()))))))) I agree with Pippi, you most definitely SHOULD have a second birthday where you get to get out of bed when YOU want, open your own presents, decide on your own cake and do whatever you like. In fact, you could pick a day when nobody else is there and please only yourself :D Hope today is a little less stressful at least xx

You guys are way too nice to me. Thank you.

CMD we cut the cake today and it was really nice. A bit sickly with all that icing but still yummy.

Cheery a day all to myself sounds like bliss at the moment. Tonight I am settling for a quiet cup of tea (kiddies in bed, DH still at work) and a sneaky bar of chocolate given to me by a chum :D

I've spent most of today up my mums. She held a small tea party for me and my bro (his birthday is the day before mine) and it was lovely. Good old mums ey??

We then went to a puppet show I organised at church. I was a bit nervous as I had arranged for them to come and then ended up having to do all the sound and video stuff as the guy who usually does it for them had gone away. Our new audio/visual equipment was only installed Thursday so I had no idea how to use it properly. I went down early and had a fiddle about with things and do you know? I worked it out and the puppet show was FANTASTIC. Everyone was telling me how good they were and how they need to come back at Christmas to do their christmas show.

It felt like a big thing for me as besides the holiday clubs this is the first big event I had organised in the church. I'm so pleased it went well.

Thanks again to all of you for allowing me to whinge and complain. :kisses3:

My lovely sister gave me my birthday present today. It's a voucher for b00ts and she told me to treat myself to some new cleanser etc. I ran out of my nice stuff for ages so have just been using basic stuff. She only buys the really nice stuff and was a bit mortified  but she is a kindly soul. She said she didn't want to buy me any as she didn't know what I liked so she would rather I picked it out myself. She has given me enough for cleanser, toner and moisturiser so look out ladies, my face will be glowing gorgeousness soon.

My family are amazing. They really are. :)

Easter holidays starts here tomorrow. Two whole weeks with DD. Can't wait. Our new-to-us greenhouse is up so I hope to start re homing the plants off the windowsill and plant some more. I'm hoping as this greenhouse is a lot bigger than our other one we can grow a lot more than last year.

I'd like to do what Cheery is doing and keeping track of how much she is saving by growing her own but I really don't have the patience to weigh it all and work it out. Hopefully I'll be able to make a few meals out of what I grow and that will save some money.

And with everything that was going on the last two days I forgot to mention a small £13 payment to the loan. We are very nearly at £2000 paid off. :j

Thanks Pippi. I was a bit afraid no one would turn up :o

Let me know what you want to know about this wonderful country ;) and I'll try to help you. Obviously I am a bit biased ;)

We have seen the sun today :j so we have been out in the garden. We now have tomatoes, peppers, spring onions and salad leaves of varying kinds in the greenhouse.

Our cherry tree has blossoms on it and our blackcurrant bushes are starting to bloom too :j DD planted some sunflowers too. :D

Must dash to get DS from nursery. I may pop back later x

Day 2 of Easter holidays here and the 3 of us (DH is in work) are sat in our pjs eating breakfast on our laps watching Tinkerbell Secret of the wings. I want to write it down here because the moment is so precious. The kiddies are cwtched up next to each other under a blanket and are so still it's unbelievable. I have etched it on my memory (and taken some sneaky pics)

    Precious times :D

Evening all. I have been looking at budgets today. From my budget (on paper) I should have spare money at the end of the month but I never seem to in real life. So I sat down and went through my statements and it looks like I have taken my eye off the ball recently with little bitty spends here and there. Well over a month they added up to quite a lot actually. :o

This isn't good as my main account is in its overdraft so I transfer £100 out of my pay each month into a second account for spending. But I seem to have got into the habit of spending from BOTH accounts. Well that has to stop.

I have been thinking that I will keep a record of spends that come out of my main account and I will have to justify each spend. By doing this I could be out of my OD in 2 months with no extra hardship on my part. Then I would have extra to pay off the loan. So I intend to start today. Every time i spend from my main account I have to declare it on here.

Hopefully that will stop unnecessary spending :(

Afternoon all. Been a bit spendy today already  if I list it all then I can see what was unnecessary

£20 haircuts for 3 of us plus my eyebrows. Not too bad really. Money came from my birthday money but will be replaced from my spends
£10 in Mr T from spends acc
-£7 of which I can claim back. They were small Easter eggs for an egg hunt we are doing at church on Sunday.
-£1 was treats for the kiddies as I dragged them down the Easter egg aisle and refused to buy one for them.
-£2 was on a Lindt bunny that DD and I gave to the Big Issue man standing by the door wishing him a happy Easter. My RAOK for today
£3 on passes for all us meaning we can now get free entry to the castle for 3years. That came out of fun budget

I put £10 a month into a fun budget so that school holiday are a bit easier on me money wise. I started this back last year and hardly spent anything out of it.

Nothing really unnecessary apart from maybe the extra £3 at Mr T. :o

I also found two cheques to the tune of £105 so put them in the bank.
