So I didn't make the extra £37.06 needed. I just haven't had time to be honest as I have pretty much been working full time. Seriously hats off to those of you who normally work full time!

Anyway I'll do my money update and save the sub £8k fanfare for another couple of days

    January
    Paid off £700.42

    February
    Paid off £454.97

    March
    Paid off £635.29

    Total 2014 £1,790.68/£9,827.73 or 18.2%

    Not too shabby really.
    Goals for February
    Declutter 2/50
    Money Made £0/£200
    Overpayments £0/£200

You are doing so well Star! Are you hoping to be debt free by the end of 2014, or are you just seeing how you get on?

Ideally I'd like it all gone by the end of 2014 but from my calculations I will be short about £2.5k at the rate I am going now. I am hoping that interest will make a bit of a dent in that but I seriously doubt it will make a huge difference. I think I need to keep plodding and plugging away at it and see where we are towards the end of the year. I really don't want to carry it over to another year. :o

Pay day from my second job again! I do like being paid weekly ;) I'm only supposed to work every other weekend but I have been putting in some extra shifts. £61.37 moved to the loan from that plus an extra £10 a friend gave me for cleaning her house before the family arrived for a funeral today. I do believe that brings the total owed UNDER £8k *fanfare* :j

    Morning all.

Not much going on around here this week. I've had the sickness bug that's been going round and it really wiped me out. I'm still quite tired now :( best get over it by next week when the kids will be off school though. We've also got something exciting going on over the holidays but I'm sworn to secrecy. I hate keeping secrets. I can't even tell DD for fear she will blab. Which she will as she will be so excited. :D

    Money news.

Not much happening there either. I moved the old windows loan payment over to the new loan this morning so that's another £82 paid off. Slowly going down. Slowly being the operative word :o

Well what a day!! Today was my birthday. I was woken at 5.30am by a toddler wanting to lie on my face. Then I was told not to get up, then forced out of bed, all my cards were opened for me, I had a barbie cake cos that was what DD wanted! I had a phone call from the school at lunchtime asking me to pick DD up as they thought she had broken her nose after a mishap with a hula hoop (she hasn't but may have 2 black eyes tomorrow  ) then DH comes home from work ill.

So my cake is still standing there, I had to feed, bath, and undress kiddies by myself, take them to church for a quick meeting, then bring them back and put them both to bed by myself.

I have no wine :( and I can't go to bed just yet as I have tooth fairy duties to perform for DD!

    Happy birthday to me :(

Thanks Pippi but it wasn't that bad. I do a lot of the childcare on my own normally so it's not a big deal. I'm just feeling a bit lonely and it would have been nice to have a bit of support when I had to run up the school (DH had the car) with the DS in the pram worrying about how many buses I would need to catch to get DD to the hospital!!

thankfully it didn't come to that and I was just being a drama queen :o

  • Somedays though, it just feels tougher than others. And it did sound a bit tougher than normal dashing about with a pram/poorly folks etc.

    What a worry I'm glad all's good.

So do give yourself a wee hug and if you can why not plan a 'me day' sometime if you can co-erce the family to let you have a 'lets do what I'd like today, day'.

Being a mum is tough work - even though we enjoy it!

    :D

    Be nice to yourself xx
