Wow that is expensive!! I do see your point about working full time. Do you think that will change in the future though? I work shifts so there's nearly always someone home not that our tortoise needs much walking ;)

lol i'd always fancied a tortoise.
Not sure about things changing in the short term, OH works various day shifts but i can't see us getting one until one of us goes at least part time, which i guess depends on many factors.

hi all. loan payment has gone out making 2% paid now. yay. got another week off this week. all our annual leave has to be used by the end of december so there's been a mass panic and loads of time off. nice to have some time off but won't do much for my january pay :(

we're off to manchester to visit the in laws on wednesday so i need to make sure all the presents are wrapped ready to go. i'm going to spend some time this evening after DD has gone to bed finding and wrapping presents. must also get up to see my auntie before christmas.

Christmas has sneaked up on me this year. it was ages away and ages away then suddenly it's next week  and i haven't even finished writing my cards

i've written a grand total of ONE card, which i gave to someone in October. I just can't get into it this year. i have to do a pressy and card swap on wed so i'll have to do some wrapping and writing before then.

Don't underestimate the £6's they all add up and make a difference!

Wow I can't believe it's nearly Christmas. I gave myself an early Christmas present though. I got paid yesterday and managed to pay my O/D off in full. I'm so pleased. Now to tackle the joint account O/D. I am pleased to be starting the new year in positive figures in my account at least. By wiping that debt it means I've paid off 8% of my debt surpassing the monthly amount for this month by about half a %.

I had a good buy yesterday. I seen a mirror I liked in one of those free catalogue things in the paper for tes*o. We want a mirror to go above the mantlepiece and we bob loved this mirror. It was £80 but £40 introductory price til January. When I went to buy it onthe Internet it was in the half price sale at £20. I used my clubcard vouchers and an old gift card, opted to pick it up from a store instead of delivery (£5!) meaning it only cost me £2.50 plus I went through acashback site so should get cashback too. Now that's a bargain!
