I can't quite believe it actually. The 15minute thing is going well too. It's much better than spending ALL day cleaning and tidying.

We are back to normal monday with school and work so I'll start progressing through the babysteps again, starting with "putting everything ready the night before"

Ooh, that's one of my favourites :j :j MOstly because I don't like having to get up and do stuff in the morning :rotfl: That's one of the few that stuck from last time :o But it made leaving the house before 7.30 a LOT more pleasant! :j

I now do it even on non-work days - I'm visiting family tomorrow and presents are all packed and by the door, clothes laid out, travel mug ready for a cuppa :j :j

Going to have to pull quite a lot of 15 min bursts over the next couple of days to get ready for the estate agent on Monday  but at least he's only coming to value it, not take pics - and this would have been unthinkable a few months ago :o:o

So HOORAY for us I say! :j :j

    Definitely Hooray for us!

We haven't actually had anything to get ready over the past couple of days hence starting monday. Although now thinking about it, I could get my church stuff ready now instead of rushing around in the morning. Good thinking.

Yay for the estate agent visit being more achievable than a couple of months ago. Hope it's a fruitful visit for you

Evening. Back to school tomorrow. I'm kind of looking forward to getting back to normality if that makes sense. A bit more routine and structure would be nice at the moment.

The kids are currently in the bath (in the next room, I haven't just abandoned them) I have got their uniforms ready so that's one thing less to worry about in the morning. DS doesn't go til the afternoon but his uniform is out ready too. It feels nice to be organised. I will make DD's packed lunch a bit later when DH gets home (he's picking up bread on his way home). Hopefully the morning will be a bit more relaxed (or less stressed whichever)

I've started a list of things I need to get done tomorrow. I've got some cheques to bank which DH can do when he goes into town, I've got 15 minutes to tidy somewhere and 2 birthday presents to make. So a fair bit on. DH is off tomorrow and has said he will start plastering the kitchen. As nice as it is that he is so handy, I just hope and pray it doesn't take forever for it to be finished.

Right off to wash DD's hair and get the monkeys into their pj's

Ha! Your comment about coming home to a clean kitchen is almost EXACTLY what I said on my diary this morning! :D Makes SUCH a difference!

The getting things ready the night before is something I still need to work on. I'm sort of half way there. Ideally I'd like to get into the routine of sorting the next day's clothes when I get in from work - doing it as i get changed from the day just gone's work clothes seems like a workable plan? Might try that tonight...

Glad to hear you all had a nice christmas, too. :T

I've just read your "clean kitchen" post. Doesn't it make such a difference?

Only two days in but I am finding that I have more time in the mornings by getting uniforms and packed lunches mostly sorted the night before.

Kids are back in school now. DD was so excited. DS on the other has a "bellyache" nice try buddy

I've got some sewing to do today and another 15minutes to do. Hopefully I'll fit in 2x15 minutes. It sounds like nothing when I write it like that but to actually have 15minutes to concentrate on one task with a 4 year old at home is actually quite difficult. I'll see what I can get done when he's in school this afternoon.

I am also a big fan of coming home to a clean house when we go away. I am a but militant about it and can get a bit wound up about it, to the point where I need to get new sheets on the bed etc.

Was your morning stress free with getting things organised the night before? I usually get their clothes organised the night before but am not so good with lunch. I absolutely hate making lunches!!! Weirdo that I am!

Clearmydebts I agree about the new sheets thing - it is lovely to come back to isn't it! I compromised this time and changed them the day before we went - that worked for me! :D

Good luck with getting your sewing and 15 minutes sorted Starnac - and I can just picture your DD's excited face this morning too! :rotfl:

CMD I've always been a bit lax in that department. I stress so much over the packing and making sure we've got everything that the house always looks awful when we leave. Not quite to the point where we wouldn't notice if we had been burgled  :rotfl: so it was lovely this time knowing the kitchen was lovely and tidy when we left :D

EH DD loves school as you know. It was made extra nice as her teacher was back from mat leave too so she was really looking forward to that. DS's bellyache disappeared once he started running around with his friends before the teachers opened the doors but it was a bit marred when he fell over just before going in so he had a pretty sad face when I handed him over to the TA. Thankfully they are all great there so I know he will be fine.

I got some of my sewing done. I'm quite pleased with the way it's turned out. DS was really good for me to get it done. I set up his marble run and he had great fun. He would want my attention every now and again which was fine. I just took as many breaks as he needed me too. I'm so lucky to have such contented children :heartpuls
