Bank Holiday Monday. Not that it really matters here as both DH and i are working at some point today. Never mind can't really argue with double time. Plus I've had a lovely morning playing with DD as she wasn't in nursery.
DH and I have been redoing our budget here for when my pay drops and we have decided that while I am off we will have more home cooked food and cut our food bill. I love my kitchen gadgets and do use them once I've got them but most of them have been sat in the cupboard for a couple of months as I have been too tired to do anything. So once I finish work (9more shifts to go - not that I'm counting or anything) they will all be dusted off and used.

well only tonight and tomorrow to go and I've officially finished work for 9 months. :j can't wait
not much going on here money wise. we have been down to minimum payments only this month as our tenant has given her notice to leave at the end of the month and the letting agents tell us that she hasn't looked after the house at all  so DH and I have had to put some money aside to go and redecorate the entire house. It may need new flooring too as there was some mention of the laminate flooring bubbling and the stair carpet being VERY stained. lets hope they are exaggerating a little bit. we'll see at the end of the month when she moves out and we go and have a look at what needs doing.
we finally got a cheque from the insurance company after DH wrote his car off. that needs to go in the bank as it needs to pay off the finance that was on the car. I'm hoping to get it in the bank tomorrow but if not then I'll definately take it in on monday. It'll be a huge over payment when it's done and will wipe a lot off our debt.
not sure we'll be debt free by December this year though. I might have to settle for my fall back date of April 2012.i suppose it's not that bad but I really wanted to start a new year with a clean slate. that said I'm off work from next week so i should have time to do a bit of money making. maybe I need to make a list of things to do while I'm off and before the baby is born to raise a bit of extra money.......

yeah she did but she also hasn't paid her rent for this month yet either
the letting agents has said that it could take up to 2 months to get the bond back from the deposit holding company so we'll still need to pay for the work out of our own pocket first and wait for the LA to put a claim into the deposit company. we can't afford to wait til they release the money as we need new tenants in asap to cover the mortgageGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Hi PBR thank you for dropping by.
NA I found your diary and have subscribed. I will now be stalking you too
well today is my first official day off from work. I had yesterday off but that was a rota'd day off for last week so doesn't count. I have got 2 weeks A/L before my mat leave starts so need to be productive.
had quite a good morning so far although i am still waiting for courier to arrive to pick up my parcel  They had better arrive before I go to pick DD up from nursery as we are going straight to the hairdressers (our little treat)
I have managed to get quite a lot done on my list today. DH put the cheques in the bank for me on his way to work this morning so that saved me a trip into town. the Joint account is now looking very healthy. Shame it all has to go straight back out again once the cheque clears. on the up side it's the payout from when DH wrote off his car so it will go to paying off the finance we had on it. That will be a big chunk of debt wiped out and I can't wait. :T
best go and get back to my cleaning now. although thinking about it I may not do too much or DH will expect it to happen everydayGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
I am now over half way to debt freedom. 50.5% paid off. I am a bit behind on getting it all paid off by my target of December but should still get it all paid off by April 2012 which was my back up target.
Seeing the figure go past the 50% mark has spurred me a little. I have listed 15 items on ebay ready to finish on Sunday. Only listed them last night and got watchers on 4 items so that's good. I've also sold something on gumtree which a lady wanted delivered and paid by paypal so I've got £50 in there that I have to decide whether to pay it off a debt or put it in my baby savings?
Still waiting on the cheques to clear in our joint account so I can pay off the car loan once and for all. Can't wait for that to be gone. That in itself is 15.5%.
Okay off to list some more items on turbo lister ready for my next run of uploading. need to find £4000 from somewhere by December to pay off what will be left of our debt!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

the car loan has gone. Cheques cleared this morning and I just rang them up and paid the loan off in full. Really pleased. Only 2 credit cards to go now and one of them is 0% so very little is being wasted on paying interest now.
