the spare room is actually looking a bit emptier now. I've got some boxes that DH needs to take up the attic and it will look quite a lot better.
Today I have also cleaned the bathroom and toilet and started on the kitchen but then made cakes and got icing sugar everywhere so now I've got to clean it again.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

it's the weekend and it's a lovely day here today
DH at work so just DD and myself today. She is a little tired and grumpy today as she had her friend over yesterday from nursery and think she has worn herself out. I treated her to the cinema this morning to see Kung Fu Panda 2. I sky+ the first one a couple of weeks ago and it's all she ever asks to watch now so I thought it would be nice for us to go see the 2nd one. It was her first time to the cinema and she could not sit still. She did enjoy the film though and asked if she could go to the cinema again another day so it was a success I think
My list of things to do over the weekend
[STRIKE]check banking[/STRIKE] - still a week to payday
[STRIKE]check for surveys[/STRIKE] hurry up and clear credits so I can claim my voucher
[STRIKE]treat DD to the cinema[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]HM bolognese[/STRIKE] in slow cooker
HC
line dry
finish tidying kitchen
more sorting in spare room
tidy front room
[STRIKE]brush passage[/STRIKE]
look up rag rug making to see how hard it would be to make one for the passage
[STRIKE]ring church secretary[/STRIKE] re the typing he asked me to do
[STRIKE]see if DD will have a nap[/STRIKE] and she's asleep
[STRIKE]FB sister[/STRIKE] - cheaper than texting
potato peelings to compost bin
that'll do for now (unless i think of something else)
Happy weekend everyoneGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Haven't posted here for a while.
We've had mixed luck here. DH wrote his car off on the way to work last week. He's okay but I was a bit gutted about it. (I am grateful I only had a car to cry over not DH as well) We are now in the process of getting a cheque off the insurance people to cover the cost of the car. It actually turned out okay as we've got finance on the car and the cheque from the insurance will clear the finance so that's a big part of our debt wiped out. We decided we're not going to replace his car as I've only got 4 weeks left in work and only work 2 miles down the road so I can catch a bus during the day and my mum has offered to pick me up when I work late. So it actually turns out to be a good thing as it will wipe almost £2500 off our debt. :TGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

I have a quote written down somewhere that goes along the lines of
"Always find the brightside. It may not help you but your attitude will drive everyone else mad"
So I do try to look for the brightside now although I do still tend to worry. I'm a work in progressGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
