breathe right nasal strips....sleep with one pillow....drink a pint of water before bed....if this fails come back to me..0

Don't drink or smoke, sleep on your side. I sympathise with your GF - my XH snored and there were times I honestly thought murder was a viable option.
Good luck0 -
Use this stuff: http://www.snoreeze.com/the-snoreeze-range/snoreeze-throat-spray
Nasal strips didn't work on my husband, but the spray works great. It doesn't look as silly either0 -
The spray doesn't work with my OH
just think he's got a dodgy hooter.
Muchos sympathy to your GF though, honestly it's awful and I often think terrible (murderous) things...:o:heart2:Baby boy due 4th March 2011:heart2:0 -

I thought I wasn't the only one who thinks/has thought this :rotfl:. My DH is a constant snorer, nothing has worked including trips to the GP who has suggested it may be his mouth palette vibrating. The dentist wants £300 for a special mouthpiece for him to wear to stop it whilst sleeping
What works for us is me giving him a swift boot in the direction of the spare room, although I can still hear him sometimes.
OP - If all else fails, get your GF some earplugs, I'm slowly getting used to them and they block out quite a bit of noise. I really sympathise with her.BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

The nasal strips work really well.
Also I find I just go to the spare room every now and then (we didn't have one, so put a bed in the downstairs office) I then get a good nights sleep and the OH then gets up with the children as he is on the same floor as them.0 -
DH tried everything other than surgery. None of it worked & his snoring is so bad we decided years ago to have separate bedrooms. It works for us although he does still often wake me & DS at least he's not right next to me making such a racket. He was seen by a consultant on the NHS who said surgery was an option but it didn't always work. We decided as we have enough rooms for separate bedrooms not to take the risk (he has chronic asthma as well). I hope you find something that works for you.0

The nasal strips work great for me, they're about £5 for 10 in Asda but Home Bargains had them in last week for .99p a box. I bought 10 box's to keep me going.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

If it's really bad, go and see your GP.0

It's not a quick fix but losing weight can sometimes help - my OH's snoring gets worse when he's gained a bit.0
