Last year, I remember, as a feature flavour they had 'Stilton with orange peel and chocolate chips', and it was bliddy fabulous - watch out for that oneOfficial DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -

Not only was that good, it was actually very good. I could hardly taste the actual cheese, but because it's full of raisins and dates (and toffee), it went really well.
:j So glad you did it (and gutted I missed the event!) Where's my email taste then?
Well done for going for it! :T :T
(PS - I just told DH that I'd invented a recipe, and you'd tried it and liked it. He would like to know when you're coming out of hospital  )Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

Just in case the hot soapy water didn't work MBE- I came accross a very informative post 'How to remove burnt on sugar' on the OS board (not sure whether this link will work - am still on a steep learning curve as far as computers go!!)

Oooooooooooooooo Pen Pen - that's just what this recipe needs - a touch of ginger!!!!
BME - when you make your crumble, put the cheese in with the crumble mix by all means, but either mix some powdered ginger in with the crumble mix as well, or (even better) put 2 pieces of stem ginger, cut small, and some juice, in with the apples!
Personally, I would do both. But I am renowned for being a ginger pig!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0
