Well, I kid ye not....
That was fabulous and I've just eaten more than I ought.
Honestly, someone else needs to make it to back me up, otherwise no one is gonna believe me. :rotfl:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Errmm......now then, what did I do?
I cooked the apples until soft with a bit of sugar, half a well-crushed cinnamon stick and probably about ½ - 1 tsp ground ginger. I was going to bung in a couple of cloves too, but I forgot and it didn't matter.
I made the crumble mix as per the instructions at the beginning of this thread, forgot to halve the sugar as suggested  and rubbed in probably (I guessed a bit) 4-5 oz mostly grated (it disintegrated a bit and became ungrateable :rotfl: ) STC. Mostly it went in ok, but there were some lumpy bits of raisin and date that were rather tasty.
Cooked for about 40 mins at 170C-ish.
Who's turn next then, any volunteers? If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
