Sorry, mrbadexample, I really cannot fancy this at all!! Does it really taste OK? I LOVE cheese, but this just seems a step too far. Has anyone else tried it? Is it very sweet? Have to say that everything else you've done has sounded great!!You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

Erm, i'm possibly up for it. I've got a few coxes and granny smiths that are not too fresh and could do with using up. Would a mixture of these be ok, or did u use cooking apples?
Does it actually taste nice??I am rather intrigued by it, but Morrisons is a bit of a trek for me (literally - i have no car :rotfl:) so i don't want to make a special trip if its going to end up tasting like cat vomit
If you don't post tomorrow we'll assume u have died from food poisoning (haven't you had that cheese for about 3 months), but lets hope not as i rather enjoy your threads!

Using eating apples will be fine, I do it all the time as I don't need to add any sugar with them. I don't pre-cook them either, just slice into the dish, cover with crumble topping and into the oven. They are even OK in the microwave without pre-cooking, but we prefer our crumbles cooked in the conventional oven.0

Honestly, it's great! It's difficult to explain about the cheese, as it's not...ermm...very cheesy! It's a sweet cheese with toffee and dates and raisins - very unconventional, but works very well. It'd be awful in yer sarnies with piccalilli.
I believe newleaf managed to get hold of some if you want a second opinion. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

I'm not dead and I'm going for seconds once I've decided what's for tea.
If you do make a special trip to Morrisons, you'd better phone and check it's in stock first - it's one of their speciality cheeses that they have for limited time periods, so it might not be available. It's great though, and seems to keep indefinitely. :rotfl:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

 I didn't invent the concept, hello did.
The only thing I've ever invented is egg fried rice, but apparently some Chinese fella had beaten me to it. :rolleyes:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

I did, and it was lovely. I just piled it onto some Digestives and necked it thoughThey still had it in our Morrisons last week - I nearly bought some more.
