I know that apples and cheese do go together, but this is making me feel nauseous!0

Just had a quick scout around - most of the recipes I can find suggest grating the cheese in with the topping.
Mmmmm sounds lush - be sure and make plenty!"...I, being poor, have only my dreams;

OK, I've done my research and I confess - it was hello who originally suggested the crumble. Apologies!!!
It was a really good idea and I just wanted it to be mineEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
Don't do it, just make a lovely buttery, sugary apple crumble. Can you imagine eating a spoonful and have a dirty bit of stringy cheese coming off it? Just the thought of it is making my nose turn up involuntarily!
Seeing as you are now a culinary expert then you could make your own custard to make it more of a challenge but please I beg you don't put cheese in it.0 -
Howe about making cheese scones and using the cheese in those?0
-
How many of you who are opposed to the idea would refuse an apple cheesecake?
How tart would the cheesecake have to be before you refused it?
Would an apple cheesecake with toffee in it be nice?
Anyone changed their mind yet?Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Hmm...jury's out then. Perhaps I should make a poll? :think:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

Maybe it's because i live in a Parallel (sp?) universe - but in my world cheese and pretty much everything else go together? (There ARE limitations - but it would be better to hear other peoplaes than list mine................!?)
I even did a quiz thingy - i am Feta -wierdly, one of my favourite (foreign) cheeses!! Cos us Brits just DO cheese better than everyone else (Mmmm mature cheddar...........)
Thing is MBE - the STE gotta be used (within the next month or so............!!) - and the thought of Morrisons (or Moz's, as it is affectionately known round here!) cheese going to waste (MS - waste - does not compute!!)"...I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams."

much as i hate things going to waste in my house sticky toffee cheese just sounds wrong!_pale_ its one of those impulse buys that once we`ve got it home we think what on earth was i thinking of!:rolleyes: if that was me it would sit in the back of my fridge untill the mould factor got too bad and it had to be thrown im afraid
i do however admire your spirit of adventure mr b... sounds like life would never be dull with you around
at least you are willing to give things a go and experiment!:T i do wonder what this experiment will turn out like and as a lover of cheese this is bringing me out in hives/feeling icky just thinking of recipes. i think a piccy of the end result is definately in order on this one and if you pull it off "all hail mr b":T :T good luck i think your gonna need it
proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance!Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat moneyquote from an american indian.0
