    Welcome back.

Dins has been decluttered (my special egg fried rice, with a bit of everything I can lay hands on in it), Mr LW is doing a spot of Wii Fit, and his mate should be here in about quarter of an hour, so I'm going to sign off for tonight.

Don't know if I'll get back onto MSE before Monday; depends how tomorrow and the weekend go.;)

Lovely to see you Soappie - how are the kittens? Have you had some eggs yet?

    Thanks hex xxx

The kittens are ... well, being kittens - having us in stitches one minute, heart attacks the next, and occasionally making us Very Cross but they are generally totally adorable and we love 'em.

No eggs yet - though I'm expecting any day now. They are beginning to get very red combs which, apparently, is a Sign they are about to start laying. Though whether this unexpected cold snap will put a spanner in the works, I don't know.

BB is fine too and has taken to the kittens very well.

How are you? What are the tests for?

Thanks Tooch - I'm OK (or at least I'm determined I will be!) I just need to Grow Up really and face things rather than wallow in my own mire of misery

And thanks Triker, yes, fortunately, we are well so that's something to be grateful for. Have you recovered completely from your Lymes?

But, better go feed the kittens who are beginning to climb the walls and the dog - and the older cats and put something on for me - chicken casserole tonight..

Soappie WELCOME home!!!!! Better places will be found. Know what you mean at the moment as we've been doing the using one to pay for another but things will get better. They have to. We also have to - so it's a head high, stiff lip and plod on :) mountain (theoretical I'd never make it up a real one) will be climbed, we can add a flag with a stick and a golden mule

Sorry not been around much today, I was actually removing my head from the sand. Working out a plan how I can buy some Christmas presents and not pay interest on that or what is on my cards. So therefore all needs paying off by June .... Not easy but I am hoping doable! I've got my up to June planned now and just need no disasters then we might even be able to go to Spain too. Well that's the theory.

Anyway minimal flying done, flung some stuff but bins didn't get emptied - likely because of the inch of snow this morning. Been more through the day and I'm bored of clearing the path but learned after needing to chop at ice last time to keep on top of it. Hunted in every shed and the garage for the shovels....DPs brother had left them in the garden!
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Hmmm. Finally went to bed with major headache. Old neck injury is getting to be a big problem.

woke up at 3.30am to what sounded like someone trying to get in the front door. Bloke was practically unconscious, so made the loonnng trek down the stairs armed only with three cats hopeful of an Early Breakfast. No sign of anyone or anything upon peering through the blinds, so went to bathroom.

Next door's security light went on in her back garden.

    I froze.

Then the cat did, staring out the back door.

    :pale:

I crept up, cursing the fact I had left The Bloke asleep upstairs.

I peeped out behind the curtain, only to find, walking along the top of the wall, searching for things to steal -

    A dog fox.

[sighs of relief and goes back to bed]

Once I woke up again, I was presented with a bacon roll, cup of tea and a bunch of lillies (and a card marked Happy Anniversary). It would be churlish to mention that he's 5 days late.

Playing I Heard It Through The Grapevine on bass today. :D

Tandoori chook, chesse curry and rice tonight.

And he's just brought me a whole tub of Bailey's Ice Cream.

[yum yum yum yum yum grumph grumph grumph yum yum yum]

    Ohh, ice cream teeth!
