Soappie WELCOME home!!!!! Better places will be found. Know what you mean at the moment as we've been doing the using one to pay for another but things will get better. They have to. We also have to - so it's a head high, stiff lip and plod on :) mountain (theoretical I'd never make it up a real one) will be climbed, we can add a flag with a stick and a golden mule

Lil-me - hugs to you xx I have climbed a mountain in the past but these days, my dodgy knees mean any mountain climbing has to be a virtual one - or take me at least a week to get to base camp. I like the idea of a flag and particularly the mule!

lovely to see you posting again soappie :) Do let us know if the flybus needs to visit you ;)

not been up to much flying today - Thursday is always my busy day, and it's Dad's last day here before he goes back to Portugal. I've been packing up some Christmas presents ready for him to take back, and that's about it. I'm hoping that tomorrow I'll get some time to catch up! Dad's off at 5 (allowing for traffic and snow!) so it'll be an early night tonight.

    and any asociated elephants!

Soappie, I have all consuming hypercondria (sp?) atm - dizziness, fatigue, major muscle/joint problems, insomnia and a serious problem with turning blue with cold which is proving rather expensive in fire wood. It has got steadily worse for months now and I don't like being a bent over hobbling old lady at 37 so I cracked and went to the quacks. Probabably thyroid - at least I hope so because the alternatives are . Fatal to read about stuff because you instantly have all the symptoms. My younger hens are still laying, but the old girls are moulting and have stopped. Averaging maybe 3 a day out of the 5 young ones so hopefully yours will perform soon.

I need to make myself get up and do stuff like sort uniforms for the morning but I really am very tired now. Trying to discipline myself to just do critical stuff is suprisingly difficult. Time for a 10 minute bimble I think.

You are all very kind - thank you -- I am refusing to get to the state where I reach for a tissue to wipe a couple of liquid things that are leaking out of a couple of seeing things positioned on my face just below my forehead....

    I shall sniff instead!

Thanks Kaz.... the one thing that would come in handy is a lottery win... but that's remote, as I don't buy a ticket. I do have some premuim bonds though...

Toots, my love xxx. I know what you mean about the government...

I fear the national situation is going to get a lot worse once the local government and civil service redundancies kick in big time...

The stupid thing with me is that my mortgage is very easy to pay - I'm on a 1% interest above base rate with no collar.... it runs for another 4 years - it is currently £80 per month (yes, that's eighty not eight hundred)....It's everything else that's going up and up and up. Even the effing bus fare! God knows what it'll be like when the 20% VAT hits in January...

But I'm determined to snap out of this dark place and I can, with the help of you all.

I've eaten some chicken casserole, have enough to put away in the freezer to do a couple more evening meals and I've swished and swiped...

And at least it's not snowing, but it is ferking cold!
