    Just started on The Secret.

    Hmm.

I get what's being said, positivity and knowledge of what you want can bring great things, but...not sure yet.

Well I am sooo behind the times that I had to google said Buble to see who he was... Blimey I have been going round with a blindfold and earplugs for the last x years (actually I did recognise the song, so it is not that bad ;) ).

For those who are as backward as me see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPUJIbXN0WY

    Enjoy!!
  • Right - the vet's just called. Her temperature is down a bit, but they're now worried that she's not eating and may have something in her tummy.

They are going to do an xray or ultra sound..., but are worried that the anaesthetic may be bad for her while she's ill - so they are going to hold her still...! She's a good girl, so it should be ok!

Will know more in an hour or two :(

  • Hoping for better news TMIF. Been through these anxious times with furry friends. My cat is 'kneading bread' right now on my lap (she loves my fluffy dressing gown).

Hmmmm, me too Sea. Although I am saying Thank You to the Universe every morning (when I remember :o) and it is making me grin every day, so for that alone, a big plus :). I will finish it, then recap on it. I am generally a positive person, having 'retrained' my brain (plus check my signature - that always helps :rotfl:).

I don't believe the bit about illness - I know many very negative people who have lived long & healthy lives, and vice versa. However, again the positivity MUST help - if you do have to get through a serious illness far better to get through it with tears of laughter from watching funny films than spend it wrapped up in misery.

    TMIF - hope cat recovers.

DT - so relieved for you on the underwear front ;)

I saw the Bubmeister a few months ago, he was excellent :)

Am off to research buying a parrot - how can I guarantee it will say inappropriate things :D
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Wow you ladies have been busy. Well on the first Sunday in Advent I propose we all spend some time this evening lighting some candles, pampering ourselves a little and getting in touch with our Christmas spirit by being tankfull for all the universe has revealed this year.

It's shown me I'm stronger than I ever dreamed.
That I love my boys more than ANYTHING (even my old dreams)
That I am creative and skillfull
That I can be an amazing writer and communicator
That I CAN compete wth the big boys
That I work best when I have time to reflect and time to be busy
That I am so much more resiliant when my friends are around me (YOU LOT IN CASE YOU MISSED THAT)

So my "Secret Santa" today is an amazing piece of vintage TV. Bing and Bowie together with "Little Drummer Boy" - I always feel that Christmas is on the way when I hear this.

Now, with like 15 days till the end of my own challenge - and a complete and major rethink of my whole life/work/lifestyle/family I had better get on over to the Matrix and start writing up all my notes so you lot don't think I've lost the plot:D

Love the idea of a recipe thread - chip in if theres something we've made that you want posted over there.

Yes, agree with the points you've made...also the way they dismissed mass genocide of the past was a little, erm, annoying.

But I'm continuing and given the reports from on here alone, I'm going to give it a good try.

Have to say I am struggling to get into reading it but I do keep trying. It feels a bit "American happy clappy" to me right now so I dont think I am in the right frame of mind for it.
