Love the parrot stories!:j
The Universe is definately sending me some strange messages! Firstly, I have always said " I don't do Oldies- they scare me. Give me a Youth Club full of pubescent teens any day". Having this week lost 1 oldie I was looking after, still have 1 and the one I had the strange conversation with has now taken to phoning me! I have never given her my number ( I guess the recently deceased one passed it on).
Then my neighbour who recently moved next door had a flood and problems with getting our HA maintenance people out, text me yesterday at work asking me to sort it out! (She's not old).
Today, BIL (actually my ex BIL) is extrememly ill and I had to get him out of hours doctors appointment and take him. Droppped him at his Mums whilst I went to Tesco to get his perscription - 3hours later I leave Tesco! The doctor had written the wrong dosage and the pharmacy couldn't get hold of him to sort it out.
I think my future job must be as the neighbourhood sorter out - next question is who will pay me?
I have evevntually come home done some on line Christmas shopping, so OH will at last get a present and saved into my favourites all the sweet recipes for my homemade sweets for hampers.
Also cracked open a bottle of red:eek: right off to visit sick BIL.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Wow, robsmum, you're one of those local Samaritans you hear about! I'm a bit ashamed of myself that I don't do stuff like that any more. Have to start up again when I've got myself straight.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi all
have been doing a bit of a catch up, as have limited time for reading when I'm away during the week. I seem to have missed something about 15 minutes??? I know the idea was to spend 15 minutes helping, but I thought that was being done elsewhere, or have I got it a bit confuddled?
Maybe I need to print out the daily update and just read it.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

For those of you who use phones to access the internet and the forum, what sort of phone do you use?
I've never got around to reading Mikes thread but I have this mental image of Mike as a transvestite who becomes Lisa sometimes:rotfl:
I'd love some answers to that phone question too. I'm thinking iphone or blackberry probably.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -

.
I had read the beginning of Mikes original thread, and it was quite funny when people realised. In fact I only read up to the point of various tv companies being interested, so I should go back and finish it.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Still loving the parrot stories.
My kind neighbour and the other male occupant in this cul-de-sac of 4 houses, have been absolute bricks today, out shovelling snow for about 2 hours to make it easier for cars to manoeuvre.
I'll be handing in batches of Twinks to say thank you to the second helper as I only had one box of choccy biscuits handy - great thing about Twinks is the ingredients are store cupboard staples. I think (apart from being totally scrumptious) that's why they are so popular.
The re-positioning of snow means that my lodger will be able to depart to her new house, 6 days late. Luckily she went to turn the central heating on last Saturday morning, just before the first big dump of snow.
I'm going to try being lodger-free till the Spring, which will mean pulling my horns in a bit financially but is doable. If it proves too tight, I'll advertise sooner. But it would be nice to have the place to myself for a few weeks. Freedom is not having to lock the bathroom door!
GQ xoxIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Nope the 15 minutes is being done else where - but the idea is at the moment is to use this 15 minutes to log on to that place to get used to using it - if that makes sense.2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0 -
Fantasia. Rob is so funny and typical. Does he scutter under his breath when he is learning something new. OH had been trying to teach Coco to say Shysters for months but to no avail. Had the inlaws to stay for Christmas last year and just as the Queen's Speech came on the radio Coco shouted Oi Shyster. Well I choked on my sprouts!!!!
Coco is very good with the pooping - he tends to fly back to his cage and shouts "Poopie in the cage" as he does it.
I can never be miserable with him around. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0
