They sound fab!!!
I have cream welligogs with purple and pink spots:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Mine are powder grey with red fleece liners which fold down over the rims. A bit difficult to get them off, which will require a helping hand at work next week - the nurse I work with will have to help me heave them off - I'm sure he won't mind:rotfl::rotfl:
I hope everyone is warm and well. Life in the freezer continues and I am going to have a walk locally today, first time out in a week. We have an M&S food outlet here which has a cafe so will treat myself to an Earl Grey there and get the lie of the land.
Looking forward to a post from FW and hope she makes it back safely.
Have a good day and wrap up warm
GQ xoxIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Morning Peeps
Hopefully my parents will make it over today - they have promised the boys that they will help them decorate their rooms - so to get you all in a Christmas mood - here's todays "Secret Santa"
When we are decorated, and settling down to "Muppets Christmas Carol" will be making cups of hot chocolate and a plate of toasted English Muffins.
Who cares if its still snowing outside - inside we will be all candles, christmas trees and cosy
ENGLISH MUFFINS
In a breadmaker put:
1.5 cups milk
2 cups white bread flour
2 cups wholemeal flour
1 sp sugar
1.5 tsp salt
1 tsp buter
1.5 tsp yeast
Bung it all in and run the dough programme. When finished knock back the dough and roll out to 1cm thickness.
Using a 3" cutter cut out 9 - 10 muffins and place on a semolina dusted baking sheet. Cover with a tea towel and leave to rise for about 20 minutes until doubled in size.
Heat a griddle (or thick frying pan) and when warmed up, wipe with a kitchen towel wth a little oil on it.
Cook the muffins slowly, about three at a time for about 7 minutes each side.
Store wrapped in a tea towel to keep them warm and soft. To serve slit through the middle and toast and then serve with butter and jam or a slice of cheese is lovely.
Happy Snuggles

Oooh Muffins! :j :j :j
I must confess to only owning a pair of ankle wellies (they're black, with red and green flowers on - fab, but useless in this weather :rotfl:) so walking boots all round here
Thanks for the advice and vibes last nightNo burst pipe thankfully - our attic is my study, so it's pretty easy to see what's going on up there. I went outside, dug a trench and cleared the drain of leaves. You can see a big pile of ice in the gutter, and the whole of the pipe down the outside is frozen solid, and the ice has spread out over the walls (on the outside) in a big sheet - so it's pretty obvious what's happened.
Anyway, about 20 minutes after posting this, after catching the drips, digging the drain out, and leaving out of the bathroom window with a spike on a stick chipping some of the worst bits of ice away, the dripping stopped! :j :j :j
Could have been that it got cold enough to freeze again, or it could have been the incredible power of the matrix, I'll let you decide....
(off to the Women's Institute cafe for tea and cake - and I've declared today Christmas Preparation Day :j :j So presents, decorations, Plan B for our holidays, that kind of thing :j :j :j)
Have a good one all, wrap up warm xx0 -

DS2 has just arrived at my desk hauling a bag of oats he has liberated from the storeroom off my bedroom.
"Biscuits!!! biscuits please!!!!"
Turns out the cookie jar is empty of hob-nobs (he's already checked) -so I'd better haul myself away from my new business plan and off the kitchen.
