I'd be happy with that - I get 'it's woman's work' said in a supposedly ironic way :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Sounds as though some of you gals need the DFW spade !
Hope all is going well for Firewalker and wanted to say how :A for robsmum. I'm in hibernation mode I think so apologies for mainly lurking and not posting. Not made it into the new matrix yet but don't feel I have much to contribute. Hope MG is making good progress with mind mapping her future. Hugs to her all who need one. xxNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0 -
I am glad of the sympathy to be honest. Have to control my temper though, cos it is not good for my blood pressure to be so wound up with him.
So my plan this afternoon is to work until 5 tonight and then clean the house. Not sure what we are going to do re the car. We need to use it tomorrow to get back out onto the roads and do things and get places. DH thinks it is going to take 20 minutes to clear it, but it is going to take a lot longer than that. Might kick him out of bed tomorrow morning for him to sort it out. Bloody men. Can't live with them, can't bury them under the patio."A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
What I want to know is, if it's woman's work, how on earth did they do their house work when they lived on their own...
!!!!!!'s house was always spotless... so I know he CAN do it, he just doesn't want to... lazy little toad
Now, this spade, is that for whacking them about the head, or burying their lazy a*** bodies?0 -
Wow robsmum that's amazing.
Hugs for those of you with unhelpful OH's. I'm very lucky in that regard - mine probably does more housework than I do (it is his house, officially, mind you!) and is a better cookDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Hmmm, does anyone know the legalities of the responsibilities and powers of a managment company?
I live in a row of 5 houses, split into 10 flats in total "managed" by a (dodgy) management company. They are planning to spend all of our reserves (and a bit more) on renewing the fascias and guttering - which is nice, but in my opinion a little irresponsible. I do not understand the urgency, and cannot comprehend why they would consider getting into debt for something that could easily wait 6 months or a year.
So, I wonder, does anyone know what rights I have in regard to seeing the quotes, demanding that they consult on such large expenditure items, and finally if necessary telling them not to do it.
I am concerned that with an income of £1000 every six months and a proposed debt of £700 they will not be able to cover the insurance due in March, and honestly, I am FUMING that they told me they were doing it, rather than asking if we agreed to it!0 -
I'm supposed to be working in Edinburgh on Monday, but it doesn't look as if Southampton airport will be open on Sunday afternoon... does anyone know what the trains are like between the deep south and Edinburgh (Nat rail just says 'subject to delays and cancellations')
We had planned to spend a couple of extra days in edinburgh, and then go up towards Loch Lomond for a few days walking... I'm assuming this is no longer a sensible idea, but would appreciate some advice from those of you in the area...
Thanks
Loch Lomond is a nono, unless you have s:rotfl:ki's or snowshoes0 -
