Woohoo, made it into work, think I might be agrophobic as all I've seen for over a week is the house walls. Christmas party is still on as well. Looks like I'll be turinig up in posh frock and wellies, with my shoes in a bag.

Posh frocks and wellies is standard dress code up here - sometimes we carry nice shoes - sometimes not:rotfl:

Well back home after being stranded at work last night:eek: It was interesting but at least I had a bed to sleep in which meant I wasn't fretting about the journey just how to get the rest of my staff in but all sorted and everyone who needed to be in was. Dug my car out at lunch so I knew I cld definitely get home this evening.

Went to a snow meeting at 330 today and all the managers were getting a bit hysterical due to tiredness which was quite funny really.

On a positive got an interview for the promotion so we will have to see how it goes.

Hope everyone else has got where they needed to be this Friday eve

Goodness scmcshane, glad you had a bed at least!

Can I request a few positive matrix vibes please?? We've had a proper grumpity day here - and now there's water running down the inside of the bathroom walls and soaking through the floorboards

Don't really know what to do about it right now other than collect drips and use towels, and in the morning borrow ladders to defrost/unblock the downflow pipe (I assume this is the problem as it's on the wall outside where the leak is...)

Any other suggestions? I"d really rather the house didn't fall down in the night! :(

No need to be anxious Sea - it's a "safe" zone. Breathe... peace in (for 2); anxiety out (for 4).

I am not a Facebook girl :p (spend too long on here for a start)

    but...

Could some kind person give me the link for

K4K facebook page (I want to see the piccies)

    Thank you

Eta - positive vibes to Cheery - would turning the water off and running the taps to empty the pipes help??

Are you sure it is the downflow pipe and not a burst pipe in the loft - wasn't sure what you meant by the problem is on the wall outside and it is running down the bathroom walls and soaking the floorboards (insert confused smiley here!)

Or is it the overflow pipe?

Would it be worth posting on the In my home board? http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=39

It's been a busy day on here today folks :T

MG - Thought you had been a bit quiet but we are all allowed a wobble. The company I work for thinks change is good and I agree, but sometimes it is flippin scary! Doesn't matter how positive you are as a person you still have to stop, think, sort it out in your head, move on and we all do this in different ways and to different time scales. Thanks of the update on FW. So pleased you got out to the party.

Smcshane - Great news about the interview :D  To sleeping at work though, glad you are home safe tonight :T

Robsmum - Wow, how lovely are your neighbours :D Still convinced one of them is lurking on here though - go on, hold your hand up :rotfl:

As for the talk of OH's - When I get stressed or upset mine makes all the right noises and says that WE will sort it. What he actually means is once you calm down/pull yourself together YOU will sort it, you always do :rotfl: Did quite like the idea of burying him under the patio or hitting him with the shovel so I will keep them up my sleeve just in case I need them in the future ;)

Other site - Great idea to spend 15 minutes a day on there. I have been lurking for my 15 minutes this week finding my way about. Found the new posts bit last night which makes it so much easier so will try and be a bit more active.

Sure I have missed lots, but for those of you that need them hugs and or positive thoughts are on their way :)
