best wishes to your cat tmif :(

    Loving the parrot stories :D

Glad you've had a good day Souk and DT! :T
  • Thanks :)

She's been poorly since wednesday, a bit quiet though, nothing else... skulking under the table and not eating.

We went to the vet yesterday where her temperature was high. They gave her some anti biotics and told us to bring her back this evening..

Tonight her temperature was just as high and she was all floppy :(

So they've admitted her - want to do blood tests, give her some fluids, and persuade her to eat a bit...

Looks like she is going to cost my entire christmas fund for one night's hotel stay (approx £250 plus the £50 from last night). Still she's worth it :)

With the house training I started as a baby. If you watch you get to know their body language and can tell when they are about to do it. As a baby when I spotted him hunkering down I would take him to the cage and say poopie in the cage (also a big aviary) and when he went I would clap and sing and say Good Boy (like you say they love attention) so when he goes over there himself I make a big fuss of him. Thats all I did really. He does have accidents sometimes. He is currently telling the dog to shut up.
Inherited Bobby when he was 2 elderly uncle passed away etc although I was instrumental in acquiring him etc., so perhaps its late to try what you say. Am going to give it a go though bcause at 10, he;s not an 'egg' anymore, just sort of like a young child, so am going to try what you suggest and see where it takes us.
Gotta be worth a go. The uncle never used to let him out, so that only happened when he came to me, I've had him for 8 years now.
So will try and watch the bahaviours and see if i can modify with a little gentle encouragement. thanks Cheri :T:)

Busy day - finally just getting chance to relax a bit as I had three big mystery shops to do today which are taking longer as the shops get busier. Did pick up a few bargains tho - M&S christmas cards are half price!

Excellent idea about the recipe thread 'over there'

Thanks for the info re Mikes DIY SOS - having read the thread (amazing and truly heart warming) I am soooo looking forward to it!
