  • I wish I'd had a little basket of Christmassy treats :(

    It sounds lovely :D
  • MG I officially Love you! I have been after that recipe for ages! Guess i should add making mince pies to my list of things to do today.

Woke with a migraine, so have taken meds and am waiting for it to disperse slightly before cracking on with everything to do today!

Still no snow here either, although it is starting to snow at the moment, but doesn't look like it's really settling :(

Ooohhh - thanks for the recipes MG - I will have a go at the hob nobs today as everyone raves about them.

TMIF - I first read it as 2m & thought OMG:eek:then I read it properly and thought again OMG:eek: - we can have that in June :p

Firewalker - hope you get to Warsaw - it'll be warmer there
RoobyRoo - good to hear from you again & we must meet up for a coffee again once the thaw starts

And to all the rest of you - take care out there.

Today will be a small TADA day & clearing of snow day - I have to try to dig my car out & also have to clear as much of the conserv roof as a
I can to prevent it cracking.

But I need advice first - DH was sent to work yesterday with a shopping list which had yeast on it (my other yeast was dated Nov 2008:eek: & the bread didn't rise) so he came home with yeast - but a block of fresh stuff & not dried - so how much do I use to have the equivalent of a pretty little dried packet?

  • I've had a lovely surprise! I opened the front door this morning to find that one of my neighbours has cleared round my car and the path up to my front door - what an angel!

What a nice start to the day. Hope it's a good one for everybody, and happy travelling FW - will be cheering you on.

Fantasia, do not apologise for being "manic" we all have days like that. I am sorry if I sounded frivolous saying you were hormonal but I get like that sometimes. I am currently quite anxious about everything. 5 days in and still no hire car. They tell me it is because the hire car company that are bringing the car are snowed in (5 hours away) the original hire car company are 11/2 hours away and they wouldnt deliver because they were too far away. My local hire car company who I use for work and are 20 mins away have cars available ( I rang them) The insurance company say that I have to wait for the first hire car company to deliver who now say they wont be here til much later in the day. I have no dog food and I have to admit to ranting at the guy on the phone who phoned first thing to say no car! He didnt like it when I asked him to stop calling me sweetie as it was quite patronising. He then turned into Kevin and was very rude. Needless to say that after that the Insurance Company got the wrath of the Cherisong (oh and Coco was shouting in the background whilst on the phone Do you want a cup of tea?)
To everyone having to travel - take care

KC - Love the flashmob brought a tear to my eye too but then I am blubbing at everything right now.

  • Well another day off work for and another recipe to try... yum!! Thanks MG

Have a good one everybody! Keep warm and stay safe xx

    Good morning

The heating is on full blast here :)

Starting to snow again too :( and it's sticking on the old stuff.

Made a load of beef stew in the slowcooker yesterday which we had last night, and loads left, so it's stew again today :) saves me cooking.

I'm going to bore you with my jewellery making talk, went next door yesterday to tell them the prescription wasn't done, (they were going to get it for me.) and was asked if I had any jewellery orders to finish, said yes but my arm wasn't very good to make, was told bring beads in I'm bored I'll make some stuff :) so another bracelet was finished, 3 bag charms, and the little girl aged 6 made 3 chip bracelets with matching earrings and a pink and green bracelet with matching earrings, (I had to bend the wire on the earrings and put the ear hooks on, and tie the elastic,) but for the age of six her designs were very good  think I'm going to watch out there, got a bit of competition :) When I've sorted the house and got showered I will take pics of what was made and you can all see how clever she is :)

Mg thankyou for another lovely yummy recipe, unfortunately I don't have the ingredients here at the moment, but as soon as the slow clears I'm going to have a baking day :)

Blimey cherisong, they're being absolutely outrageous! Why on earth can't you just have the car from the most local place?! I'd say do it and bill them if I thought there was ever a chance of a refund... :(

Groatie queen, how lovely of your neighbour!
