My DS is 12 FW. He's a big tall lad for his age with a newly squeaky breaking voice.

Yep, Little Boy is nine - and he just told me that he feels very clever today.

Ok people I have a question...............................

Does any one else on the thread smoke:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I know, its awful and deplorable and all the other things that people think about it and I soooooooooo want to stop, have just discovered its more addictive than heroin and apparently more difficult to detox from
and I'm having the most awful guilts about it, like trying to find reasons to justify doing it etc, etc, etc.,
I did give up a couple of years ago with a little help from patches but lapsed the 1st time there was a drama, which I thought at the time was a crisis. Just wanted to know if there are any smokers, or ex smokers etc
and what has happened to the tabulation here lol.
Honestly, I push keys and the strangest things happen lol.
ps Claire, the new jewellery is gorgeous

I smoked for 17 years, than did not smoke for 7 and than smoked for 2 years. When I gave up on will power I was always a smoker who did not smoke - this is why I cracked and started again. Have been off now for five years or so and don't have identity as a smoker. The Easy Way clinic seminar - Allen Carr's outfit.

And the thing is that a day seminar was £240 five years ago. I was thinking that it is too expensive but decided to give it a try. This money has saved me about £7,000 by now - and this is not mentioning the health. And I did not put weight on...

The Easy Way Clinic have a website - search for a seminar near you.

Just been catching up on the last few pages. @fantasia @cherisong I've had such a laugh reading about the parrots. I've never "met" one but would love to....just to to see the parrot shouting at the barking dog to "shut up":rotfl:

Kind of glad the parrot costs £900 to buy. At that price the person buying it would hopefully think long and hard about the purchase and there's a better chance of the animal getting a good home.

Don't smoke, never have so can't help there.

I am a smoker and know I need to stop, but just don't have the willpower at the moment.

And yes, I am very aware that sounds like a typical smoker's excuse :(

I have given up twice but never for very long and have always gone straight back to it during a crisis.

Yep - I am a smoker. I'm on rollies now which have had had the added bonus of making me cut down a lot. Not good enough. I had the 'excuse' on focussing on one addiction before stopping, but it's been 18 months sober now and still not given up.

At the moment am too miserable and frustrated to do anything about anything:eek:

Robsmum - From what I have read you are doing 'baby steps' about lots of things, have a virtual hug (and a hobnob ;)) and celebrate the things you have done!

I am not a smoker but like overeating, it is a legal support mechanism. If it works for you at this moment, then do it. Why not explore ways that you can support yourself in times of trouble that are more kind for you in the longterm. (Easy to say, but bl**dy hard to do)

FW - Lovely to meet you yesterday, we must arrange a 'Southern' covern meeting of the Matrix soon. LB was also lovely, he explained his mind map to me and I found out he likes rugby. I can see that it might be a 'challenge' at times keeping up with him!

Now I'm even more desperate to go to MG's sessions - if we get our house sorted by then, I'm treating myself as an investment in my education!

I believe there's one in Bristol next year... if I have the ££ at the time, maybe we can nip up together...?

Firewalker - your sons were great as well, particularly the littlest, who charmed everyone.

And as for you parents - stop worrying!- I've noticed children will play up in front of their parents, but will rarely do it in public. They were all quiet and good as mice. (And I can tell that they were all well-raised as I see lots of children everyday, many of whom are not: I can spot the signs a mile off! ;))

Firewalker, NorthernLas and Dedicated, it was a pleasure to meet you all (as well as MG). What a lovely lot you are. :)

Am working at 11, so I think a trip to WHSmith is the order of the day, along with taking two ickle boys to see Harry Potter tonight. Good times! :D

P.S. Hope you are feeling better, Firewalker. :)
