Hey MG, not sure if it is of any use but I just came across an organisation called Contin You - educational. I know they have a welsh branch but not sure about Scottish. They seem to be involved in community schools and after school learning. http://www.continyou.org.uk/
Thought it might be of interest.

Have heard of this too Cheri and its registered in Scotland as a charity also, so probs has affiliations here as well

every time I've tried to login "over the road" my computer freezes and dies and it takes an hour to unfreeze it :(

I'm not ignoring you, I'm pressing my nose up against the window gazing at the bright and mostly cheery party I think is going on without me

And I may have news re K4K, I may actually be collecting the stuff this Saturday............

Thanks F. Looks like they get involved in a lot of legislation consultations too. MG, could be really useful to look into

    Thanks Guys

Hit a bit of a wall this afternoon - so decided that DS2 and I should resurrect an old tradition - the afternoon nap.

We both feel much better now (if a little guilty at the work that didn't get done)

I wonder how many afternoon snuggles I will get to share with my little boy?

A friend sent me this on the back of a postcard today:

    "THE COMMITMENT

    It doesn't interest me
to know where you live or how much money you have
I want to know if you can get up,
after the night of grief and despair,
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
    to feed the children"

DS2 is in the bath - so I guess I can report in spends for today.

    A WHOPPING £7.95

    Bottle of Diet Coke 0.39
    Whole milk 0.89
Cheddar Cheese 2.99 (on offer and we haven't had cheese in a while)
    Cottage cheese x 2 0.92
    Lemons 0.49
    Tortilla Chips 0.89
    Crisps 0.79

The cheese, crisps and tortilla chips are all a real treat. But for dinner we had nachos - and very nice they were too.

    Off to update my signature.

Mmmmm- love Nachos! Thai fish stew coming up here in a bit when MrEH is home! The great freezer-clearout continues! :D

Crickett it's lovely when you have days like that, isn't it! :D

A fairly productive one here - I needed to have as well as we're off on our trip to the Hebrides later in the week - woo hoo! :D One load of washing from the machine where it had run overnight, to the airers - mostly outside. Stuff from the airers off and back indoors ready for putting away. Dishwasher emptied and reloaded - that will need to run overnight tomorrow regardless of how full it is, and anything made dirty on Thursday can be hand washed. Some Avon stuff done - I will submit my (astonishingly chunky - yay for me!) order online tonight. :j Some more stuff to be packed for holiday sorted out, and my camera bag packed up with not only camera gear, but also the clothes and toiletries for the journey up. Car taken to the garage for the out-of-warranty warranty repair that I whinged to Renault about to get done. Quick whizz round Tesco. Banking checked and a note made of what I need to transfer to where on Thursday before we leave. Thank goodness for the Tax Account which can be "borrowed" from short term to a) pay my Avon order and b) provide a buffer in our joint account as the credit card bill won't arrive until after we are away, and I might have forgotten some stuff that's gone on it! Now the freezer is defrosting and I shall start cooking dinner in a moment. :D
