I gave him a row, he said he never left in there, it was on the bikes. It must have rolled off.
I did hurt myself, twisted my ankle, and my wrist, jarred my back and I have a very sore knee and elbow
Anyway I am half way through the box of jewellery, what I have done has been priced properly no guessing pricesBoiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
I was going to ask those of you with older children to please re-assure me that the constant tidying up gets less with age.........looking at Claire's post clearly that's not the case :eek::eek: Hope your aches and sprains aren't too bad xx
Felt royally fed up when I came back from the school run, fed up of picking up ALL the time, never having a tidy house. It's never ending here. Anyway went out in the sunshine with the kids and started (with their help) to clean the out side toys which desperately needed doing over the winter. Actually made me feel a bit better, had a sweep round the patio and about half the stuff has been cleaned. New sand in the sandpit, old stuff chucked on the garden - spring cleaning fever has struck :j
Inside still a bomb site but out of sight was out of mind
MG - well done on the couple of hours work.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
It does get easier Bitsy, honestly, the trick is to teach the littlies to put away when they have finished. When I had 3 under 5's, I realised if I didn't start to enforce it then, I'd be doing it all my life.
I always tried to make a game of it and also encourage the putting away before they started to play with something else. They weren't perfect but they did try and thats all any parent can ask, and it made my life a little easier when No 4 and No 5 came along:eek::rotfl:0 -

Oh Claire, you are having a rough day
I hope you are OK.
Bitsy - My sister had 3 under 3 at one time and she made it a game to out all their toys away every night before bed, wish I could remember the song they sang as they did it. She also had a HUGE drawstring bag for all the lego so all they had to do was throw the stuff in to the middle of it and then draw it all together, this would work for any small toys.
MG - Yay for two hours local work
And can I say a huge thank you to the Matrix for helping my befuddled head :T:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -

Just finished pulling together all the stuff needed for DS1 to go off on holiday on Monday. The deal was that I would provide the food n stuff for four, Mum would pay for the caravan and DS1's best friend's Mum is doing all the petrol n stuff.
Got a box sorted - everything except the fresh milk and fruit - Woop!!! All the main meals are made and frozen and are heading down in a freezer box with them so they should have an easy week catering wise.
So for once I am ahead of the game.
DS1's cake is fantastic - you could put a spirit level across the top. Wish I know what I did dfferent this time cos usually I have a slight dome:D Shame I will only be showing it to a group of littlies :rotfl:
Got five days without DS1 next week - am sorely tempted to take the week and a roll of binbags and go storming through the house when he is not here (he doesn't like to clear clutter)
We will see how the energy goes:o
