Wow .... this is all really something! How nice of MrFW to come on and tell us what was going on! Late is deffo better than dead, and its nice of PPB to share as well.

I don't have any stories like that about planes, except the time I thought I was going to die in Zimbabwe - as the plane tried to land at Victoria Falls Airport it zoomed off again, and I was sure that my previous flying phobia was logical after all. But it turned out that elephants had beaten down the wire fence around the airport, and there were wild pig all over the runway - the pilot zoomed at them to scare them away :)

Hiya FW - glad you are back and hope you have some rest.

I've had to change my plans - more potatoes and less freezer space than I thought.

Stovies and mash only. Mind you with pre-prepared mash I can easily rustle up bubble n squeak and gnochhi so all is not lost.

Whilst I am enjoying my cuppa I am off to research some "??cakey" or "rissoly" things you can make with my mashed potato mountain.

Right - ideas to go with my frozen mash bricks:
    1. Corned beef, onion and brown sauce rissoles (serious WW2 recipe)
    2. White Fish Cakes
    3. Smoked fish cakes
    4. Tinned Salmon Fish Cakes
    5. Cheese and vegetable rissoles
    6. Crushed chick pea and indian spices with green beans
    7. Minced beef rissoles
    8. Chicken and tarragon rissoles
    9. Kidney Bean and chilli rissoles
    10. Broccoli and blue cheese rissoles
    11. Bubble n squeak with poached eggs
Actually got 14 block of frozen - so 11 recipes and 3 nights of gnochhi. So thats a meal a week for the next 14 weeks taken care of.

Just as well really as all the bills come out of the account this week - and I feel skint, skint, skint

<sniff sniff> Sad day today, it's my last Forest Schools with DS and his group :( They are switching to afternoons after Easter and I can't make it due to school pickup :( Am gutted TBH, aside from being able to see DS in action in the woods I really like going and being with all the other kids. Oh well I've had a year and a half of going so at least I've had that opportunity.

Not done much today apart from post something (Fantasia your cards are on the way, 1st Class so I really hope they get there in time) and hang out the washing.

Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine and/or warmer weather.

Not had any issues with planes but then again am not well travelled outside the UK so that might have something to do with it ;) Glad you made it back FW.

Buffythedebtslayer - Bit late for positive vibes at 1pm but sending you lots of them anyway. Hope everything is OK.

Cheri - Positive vibes still coming for you too :D

    have a great afternoon everyone.

    Back from town

Popped into morrisons they had pepsi and pepsi max on offer for £2 for 8 cans, so bought some for school lunches, more meat for packed lunch and they had pks of 4 bars of choc for £1 so stocked up on those too :) also had a 1.8kg of Gammon reduced to £3.50, some fruit and baked potatos and a bag of normal pots, so shouldn't have to buy much more till next week now. Spent £25.25.

Need to finish getting jewellery sorted now, so going to have another half hour of sorting.

Time to file the ball - in an outside bin I think:mad:

Made birthday cake No1 and a double batch of hob nobs (1/2 for here half for holiday box)

To make the second birthday cake I am going to need to buy some more Stork - but I think I can rustle up a birthday tea by being creative with the freezer, so its looking good.

DS1 really doen't like horseradish so I need to be gentle with that flavouring - don't know why, cos he loves chilli hot, mustard hot and curry hot - just not horseradish hot. May just have a dab of horseradish on the side of mine :D

Just noticed that my budget is currently running at less than a pound a day - although at some point I will run out of veggies and fruit so will need to do a proper shop, so musn't get too ambitious:o

Local Uni has just been in touch to ask me to do a wee bit work - so fingers crossed. Its only 2 hours - but then its only a few miles away:T
