Wow, you people! Have started talking for GB and the EU again. This is so nice to see.

Keep it up - I am very tempted to join the letters gang but am worried that this is too ambitious. As you know, I love writing but letters have always been a bit of a problem.

Now I am falling asleep, I am afraid - today has been a very tiring day.

to make this easy for me if you are interested can you copy and paste the list and add your name onto the end in your post. That way if I dont check in for a few days then I can find the list easily. Please do it in magenta if you can. Thanks

I am happy to do the pairing up but I am away for three days next week so should we set the date for me to do the pairing up as next Friday. I will post the pairs up here and then you can exchange addresses individually.
Rules are simply to exchange some form of mail to be agreed between each other?
Agreed - added my name to the list

Been looking at my SOA - don't worry it is pared to the bone so I can spare you all that job. Just checking the insurances etc as April is "car month"

So the plan for the "Ultimate Storecupbard Challenge" is to stash as many pennies aside to pay for any work that needs doing on the car for the MOT, WITHOUT dipping it my "emergency" fund of £500.

I have enough set aside for the MOT, the car Tax - and hopefully the insurance - just not anything for any work IYSWIM. Still miles better than last year.

Two items on my SOA jumped out at me - my mobile and internet. It has been pointed out to me that these should really be coming from my business account instead - as they are my "tools" IYSWIM.

So after the MOT my target will be to make £500 to sit in the business account to take those bills across there and out of my persoal SOA. This would free about £40 per month in my personal spends to chip away at Big Horse Debt. Taking my repayments up to nearly £400 pcm.

.................. think what I could do with an extra £400 per month - well commission the software to make your patterns for a start:D

Lost internet connection yesterday so missed all the chatter. Spent a lovely day in the garden instead though and have potted on some of the seeds that I planted last month. I have quite a few veggies coming up, some of the seeds were free from the dig in roadshows last year and was surprised that they worked but I am most excited by the fact that I seem to have a few strawberry plants (well plants is a bit of an overstatement as they are little green specs but they are green and they are coming through!)

Fantasia - sounds like you have nothing to lose holding out for them to offer you a bit of movement to terms that suit you more. will add my positive vibes to the universe.

Crickett - the coaster sounds lovely and will be much more valued than something picked up from the shop. I know your friend will love it.

MG still trying to get to grips with lentils - Will red lentils do in the carrot soup? I am not sure of the difference and only have red which I bought on a whim and not sure what to do with them other than add to a stew.

Yes hon - red lentils are what I used - makes a lovely orangey soup with a hint of sweetness.

I use red lentils in soups, in Indian Dhals and in a spicy tomato and lentil sauce for over pasta (nice high protein)

Red lentils cook away to nothing, whereas the green lentils I like to cook so that they still have a little bit of a bite dress with lemon, olive oil a small tin of tuna and finely chopped onions. Makes a yummy lunchtime salad with some ciabatta bread.

The "Rolls Roys" - Puy lentils I use cooked in an aromatic stock and served with fresh grilled fish. Very Cheffy :rotfl:

Maybe I should get in the habit of posting more of our recipes.

Thanks MG, like the idea of lentils but a bit clueless.:rotfl:

Like the green lentil thing as I love tuna so will give it a go, and the soup as I have lots of carrots.

You are a star

You've got me thinking about what I want for lunch already. I've finally cracked my granary bread recipe - discovered that a 1/4 tsp of citric acid added to the mix makes a lovely light loaf. So today I'm having:

LEBANESE LENTIL AND LEMON SOUP - four portions but freezes well

4oz red lentils
I chopped onion
4 pieces of preserved lemon (or use the zest and juice of a fresh one)
1 litre water
1/4 tsp cumin
1/2 chopped pepper
1 chopped tomato

Finely chop the pepper and soften in a little oil. Put in a bowl with the chopped tomato and set aside as your garnish.

Soften the onion, then add the lentils, cumin, lemon and waterand cook till very soft. Blitz with a blender.

Serve very hot with the pepper/tomato garnish and a sprinking of fresh herbs (should really be fresh coriander, but I only have chives in the garden right now so it will be that instead)

Lunch - SORTED!!!

I asked the Universe to provide me with a breadmaker, and a lovely lady on Free cycle gave me one. It's a Diamond brand, and has no instructions, so can anyone help me with a foolproof recipe for a loaf. May give the soup recipe a go, as we are all fed up eating my basic lentil soup all the time. Yours sounds lovely!

OMG, OMG, OMG.

I did push for my own time scales (never pushed for anything like this job wise before). Told them I needed flexibility and received this message this morning.

Well now my lovely Fantasia, let's negotiate, what is workable for u and if it was a half day on a weekend or 2 out of 4, would that work. Flexibility is my middle name and to have u on board means more than u can imagine. We want people who genuinely care and believe in what they do and I know you were passionate about what we do, so, let me know what will work and let's see what we can do. Xx

I'm absolutely gobsmacked, 1st time I ever had the confidence to do anything like this and its paid off. Thank you so much everyone for the encouragement, you all amazing and I'm very grateful xxxxxxx
