Well I haven't managed it. Yet. I normally spend around £200 so it would be a bit of a wrench but it wouldn't be a challenge if it was a teeny bit difficult :rotfl:
Fantasia - Go for itTheir loss and to not go back on their terms might mean you're trapped in a job you hate for the sake of money. OK it's easy for me to say that since I am not the one facing redundancy but since you a loathe to go back there you might at least make it worth your while
Love the link BTW
crickett - honestly people can be soooooo sheep-ish at times. Next time someone says something deogeratory you should reply "And you're saying that because?....." get 'em on the back foot. And if all else fails just said I am not one of the heeeeeeeeerdI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Good evening
Just caught up, Cricket, ignore them, they are just jealous cause they can't do it themselves
Been to the hospital with mum today, then met DH and 2 boys in town, they went to the college place to have their haircut and I had my nails done as part of my Mothers day pressieThe tutor ended up doing my nails cause the young girl was a bit nervous.

Thank you Bitsy, I wasnt looking for validation, just should I push for what I want.??????? Its a confidence thing. If I push and lose, its their loss, if I push and win, well its a win win situation.
Thanks I sooooo appreciate what you said.
Will push and see what happens. I dont wanna be there but will be there if its on my terms etc. Till my dream job comes along (because it will) as of today I am believing that. Yay.
Thank you, thank you, thank you xx0 -
Yes fantasia, push for what you want! :T :T
Clooties Mum, what a lovely idea! :j :j Strangely enough, I bought two small cards from the post office today (for 50p each!) to send to some friends. I LOVE sending things through the post, I really do :j :j So yes, I'd love to join you!0 -

Here's an idea Fantasia - don't push - because its one of the Universal Laws that for every reaction there is an opposite and equal reaction - so they will just push back and resist.
Instead imagine yourself being an attracting magnet for the job with all your perfect conditions in place. Set an intention to wake up in the middle of the night at the perfect time to send those attraction energies out to your old boss. Let them see just how perfect and seamless it would be to offer you the position, how you are the perfect and complimentary person to be there.
Let us know WHEN it worksIt did for me, in fact I had a call today from a publisher wanting to know more.

Not sure about doing it weekly though, my sisters would laugh and ask Why not pipck up the phone (easy seen the oldest is 10 years younger than me and the youngest 18 years younger lol). Its all email, email, email.
But I can actually remember when letter writing was the norm and it was nice to receive something from somebody. Maybe we should do a Matrix letter thingy.......?
Love the idea and I'm sure I can muster up the time to at least try.
Ok, lets do a Matrix exchangeCheery_Daff wrote: »Yes fantasia, push for what you want! :T :T

Ok, as there are a few of us interested in this idea how about we have a list of people who want in and then we can do a buddy up list and those that are buddied up can exchange addresses as a start. We could then build from there?
So far we have
[*]Fantasia
[*]Clooties Mum
[*]Cheery Daff
[*]MG
to make this easy for me if you are interested can you copy and paste the list and add your name onto the end in your post. That way if I dont check in for a few days then I can find the list easily. Please do it in magenta if you can. Thanks
I am happy to do the pairing up but I am away for three days next week so should we set the date for me to do the pairing up as next Friday. I will post the pairs up here and then you can exchange addresses individually.

fantasia - I don't think you're pushing. They've approached you. Tell them what you're looking for, and that if they can offer it, you'll consider it. Do MG's visualisation too, but remember, they won't know what to offer you if you don't tell them... so give them some help working it out (I do think the universe expects us to help it along by contributing where we can - remember the one about the man who prays for a lottery win, and eventually god has to ask him to meet him half way and buy a ticket...) in this case, you have the opportunity to articulate to a potential employer what would make the job attractive to you as step on the road to the perfect job.
Love the idea of writing letters. I send postcards when I'm travelling - always one to my 6 month old nephew, and occasionally to other people. OH thinks its odd when we're only away for a few days but has started sending them to his kids & ex, and they seem to appreciate it. When we're only somewhere for a day it can sometimes be difficult to find a card, stamp, time to write and a postbox, but generally we manage it!
I've done 6 cities and 7 flights in 8 days and arrived back on Wednesday afternoon. I'm just about starting to recover but have my expenses to do, work to catch up on and vast amounts of laundry, housework and gardening to do. Maybe I should start visualising OH living here and helping0 -

In 1992 I was bored one afternoon off (worked for BT at the time) so got out atlas, closed eyes & opened it and pointed to somewhere biggish near my fingertip. I did this 5 times & then wrote to the telephone exchange in biggish place with a wee bit about myself & would anyone like to correspond. Only 2 wrote back & one faded out quite quickly but I'm still in touch with Yvonne in Idaho & her sister in LA. I also did this with Walnut Grove one day (fan of Little House on the Prairie) - I got a reply and that correspondence ran for several years.
Sounds sad, I know but - that's me for you
Ahhh my multiquotes didnt work. CM I absolutely love this idea. How clever of you to think of that. As for Walnut Grove - genius I loved Little House on the Prairie! Not sad at all. :TSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. I think that Bitsy is right and she has helped you to make the decision. You should go on your terms that way you have some control and a feeling that you have made a good choice. Go for it you have nothing to lose

Dear Ladies
So nice to hear all the news. Fantasia, what a big compliment. I hope they make the position attractive enough for you to want to take it, or that something better finds you really soon. Cheri, I am a letter writer, but usually just to my Gran, as she is really strange on the phone. At 83 I think that's definitely her prerogative
So my mantra for the last two weeks is 'money has been flowing away from me quickly' :rotfl: I have just been getting ready to go to Uganda, and buying summer clothes and two weeks worth of toiletries has been expensive. But I know those little extras will be nice for me when I arrive. I leave on Monday, so that's really exciting. It's such a different feeling going this time round. So much has changed.
Love to all
