It is nice to see the different opinions on Bailey caseWe need to take Jack back to the vet as his wound is still open

Awwww poor Jack - I wonder if they need to stitch it up and put his lampshade back on. Poor fella x0

he still has his lampshade on, but he is still managing to lick it.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000

Sending healing thoughts to Bailey and Jack.
I have been thinking about Bailey a lot since the first photo and the second one just makes me feel sadder for him. I just don't understand how anyone can neglect an animal to that extent and I would be hanging them by the nadgers too Bitsy.
I had some Chicken in the freezer and some Chorizo jumped in to my basket today when I nipped in to the shopsso will be giving your recipe a try over the weekend Bitsy, thanks! I really must get my freezer emptied and defrosted so that I can start to use it better, half the time I don't even know what is in there which just isn't good enough

TMIF, thank you. You put into words simply what I was trying to say. It would be quite nice to have an input into punishment sometimes I think. I have had a few rescue dogs so I thoroughly understand the issues that go with it. So sad whatever the cause is.
Claire - erm beadmaking by any chance? Poor Jack, how old is he now? As they get older everything slows down so that could explain the slow healing time. I must admit to laughing at him managing to lick with the lampshade on, its amazing how dexterous dogs can be when it suits them.
Glad you enjoyed the curry Bitsy chuck some virtually this way please. At home on my own and did the Bridget Jones tea of a half eaten packet of biscuits and a cup of tea. Cheri, he is 14 now, we have been spraying him with a diluted tcp solution, which seems to stop him licking it, and it seems to be drying up.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000

Wonder if Marru has any suggestions Claire? Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

Any suggestions would be gratefully received Cheri, especially if it means we keep our little lad a bit longer, but I'm not sure whether we are being cruel keeping him alive either.
Well a pile of stuff bagged and ready for the shop in the morning, will see if I'm allowed to take pictures of my bitBoiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
I have requested a pawcircle for Bailey from the doggy twitterers - I know several folk who will start it being retweeted so the story will be out there and positive vibes flowing from all over. As for what Cheri said - sadly she's spot on. To her, me, and the rest of you here, its incomprehensible that anyone could treat an animal like that, or not see that it was wrong, but unfortunately it isn't the case for everyone.
Claire you know your little chap better than anyone - if you honestly feel his quality of life is still good, and he is still happy, then all to the good. Animals are so lucky though in that, unlike humans, they don't have to be left to end their lives in suffering and pain - they give us so much, but at the end we are left with an incredibly hard decision. I wish you luck with it. xxx🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
