    Just wondering if my fellow Scots are getting snow as well? Yep, tis snowing in Glasgow but is also wet (the joys) so it's not lying in the city. God knows what it's like out of town though.

    Ace news on the house Crickett and glad we're all groomed again MG!!!

    Can I ask for my positive vibes for my mum please ladies, she's dehydrated and in hospital.

    Thanks XXX

    Extra positive winging their way to your mum Souk.

    Souk Sorry to hear about your Mum, and yes, positive vibes a-plenty heading North for you.
    <SNIP>

    That's what put me off using mine TBH. Even with exfoliation I couldn't stop the ingrowing hairs :(

    <SNIP>

    I think the trick seems to be to epilate, then leave it a good week, exfoliating regularly - I body brush 3 - 4 times a week as well as using scrubs, scrubby gloves etc - then epilate again to get rid of the ingrowings that have been "scrubbed" loose, plus the strays that you didn't get the first time, and just keep repeating and repeating this process. Eventually I think I will be able to step back the repeat epilations to every 3 weeks, but I know I will need to keep up the exfoliation regularly. Where I can clearly see the hairs lying just under the top layer of skin I also use a clean needle to lightly "scratch" that single layer of skin away from them too.

    Back from the hospital, looks like I am going to have to have injections in my back every 6 months, for the rest of my life.

    Oh Claire - poor you! :( The injection DID help though, didn't it, so I guess maybe it is enough better than the alternative to be worth it, plus as medicine makes advances things may well change on the treatment front.)

    A fairly constructive day here - got a few Avon bits done, including designing the flyers for my next two campaigns, and also done some cooking - lemon & coconut muffins for MrEH's breakfasts, and a big pot of bolognese/ragu sauce (made 6 2 person portions!) as well as that chicken tikka which will marinate until tomorrow.

    Thanks all for positive vibes. She'll be okay, she's a hardy old !!!!!! and this is just another blip as she has a chronic illness anyway but is very strong (and strong willed!)

    Sorry to hear about your injections Claire but let them do whatever they can to help you.

    Something ace to look forward to Gemzie X

    Souk - glad it sounds like your Mum will be ok.

    Claire - at least it is only every six months and will make you pain free. Remember some people have to have injections every day so while it is a pain (sorry - couldnt resist the pun) it is worth it.

    MG - Axminster legs indeed, better than shag pile I suppose. Epilators sound like torture and soooooooooo much hard work. Just wear trousers and then when the sun shines, nice long floaty skirts.

    OK, I need to envisage a lovely couple buying my flat, that or I need to raise some dosh very quickly. Looks like my Austria project is about to be no more as another couple are interested in the house I like and it would seem that they are in a better position than me to put forward an offer. Now I know that I am the one that should be in that house, I have a photo of it on the wall with the amount of money I need to buy it and photos of us all around it. I wake up in the morning and imagine myself making my coffee while looking at the mountain opposite and I even walk the dog every night in my head around the village. So the universe really needs to listen to me right now.

    Strange but I am convinced I should be in that house. Would it be wrong to imagine the other couple losing a suitcase full of money so that they cant buy it?

    Yes the injection did help loads and I'm able to do a lot more than what I could do before, although my hip has started to hurt again after doing stuff loike mopping floors etc, so I think it may be wearing off, My next app should be May sometime.

    That sounds too much like hard work to me! I was wondering about epilators but I think I'll stick to the razor. When I had a professional wax I had problems with ingrowing hairs and also my skin looked like a plucked chicken's :eek:.

    500 days to the olympics - by then I shall be creating an income by doing something I love, my home will be tidy and properly furnished, I shall be living within a properly thought out and realistic budget, be up to date with all my paperwork and jobs and have a garden full of homegrown fruit and veg.

    Redsquirrel, I hope you have a very speedy recovery.

    Souk, positive vibes are winging their way to your mum.

    Cherisong, you are doing all the right things. Keep your focus on positive thoughts about *you* being in the Austrian house - if you think about someone else being in it even in a negative way, the universe may be confused and think that's what you want.

    I've managed most of what I wanted today (one of my TO DOs needs a bit more work) and my list is all ready for tomorrow.

    Claire, hope the injections make you feel much better in the long term x

    ((souk's mum)))))

    ~~~~~cherisong~~~~~~~~~ oh gosh, I really hope you can sell your house soon xxxx
    MG, welcome back! :j :j Lovely to see you and your shiny new hair :D Good luck facing your legs...
    Loooooooong day here, but overall a positive one. Lots of work done, and had a supervision with boss who told me I was "efficient, reliable, relaxed, and brilliant" :rotfl: Also got asked to write part of a book chapter! :eek: Very exciting indeed :j So all well here
    (but our train home was delayed because the train nearly hit someone :( Driver was so traumatised he had to go home and we had to wait for a replacement. Apparently the police arrested a young woman - I hope for her sake she was messing around (and has now learned her lesson) rather than trying to kill herself :()
    Pickle, too early for the 'once in a life time' experience on hair. If I were you, now I'll do the things that I won't be able to do when I am old and gray - like horse riding across the Goby desert; swimming with crocks or something...Mind, if you do the latter you better colour your hair beforehand:rotfl:.
    Pickle - Focus on one dream at a time (as if there was no other), then after 30mins - 1hour, focus on another :) (a bit like a 5-15min flylady boogie... but surprizing what you can get done in that time)
    Everyone else - hugs to all that need them, esp Souk's Mum and Claire ...
    Cheri - I am dipping my toe in the world of Network Marketing ... so far it seems like it has good potential for making dosh whilst I jet around the world. Shall I send you details as well as that cake recipe? (anyone else interested, I can share on t'other side, once I work out why my username and password don't work :( ... probably a typing problem, but I'm not admitting that just yet ...)
    MG - Glad you are back on the planet ... should you need a virtual PA, my offer still stands (and I'll let you know when I jaunt north to Edinburgh, Brechin and back via Glasgow in mid April ;) ... actually maybe Easter would be a good time (hmmm, I can see a cunning plan forming :) ))
    Bitsy - totally agree about what the job has become! I had the phone call last week to see if I was still doing early years and I had pleasure in saying that yes I was, but planning to give that bit up at the end of august - when my one EY child goes into yr 1. Do you only do littlies? I only do before and after school and it is bringing a nice amount of money.
    I've got 2 in EY, one of whom is a rising 5. I know some of this pressure is me because I don't want to lose my good grading (I just think Satisfactory is such an awful sounding grading. I know it still means you're passing stringent inspection but to me it sounds like "not quite good enough" :o:o) I love the under 5's but finding the whole planning and development hanging on my shoulders a bit of a PITA. One mindee bless her isn't that interested in some of the stuff I plan, she wants nothing more than princess dress up the whole time :rotfl: I also want to get rid of some of the clutter around the house. I've got toy boxes in every room and I know my kids are small still but there are things I am keeping "just in case" that I'd rather just be rid of. Not sure about just doing after schoolies unless it was term time only :o
    Cheri - Not sure my conscience would be up to making the other couple lose their money so I suppose I would concentrate on the people who are in no chain, cash buyers who can complete quickly on your flat. Positive vibes that it works xx
    Off to Forest School this morning. The chicken and chorizo casserole smells delish, can't wait for tea tonight LOL Got to head out to get cat food this afternoon and hopefully I might remember the furniture restorer ;)
    Have a great day everyone, try and check back later :D
