I'm in...and have you got that Chicken and Chorizo receipe Bitsy...sounds lush!
It sure is lush
Here it is:
4 chicken breasts (or any chicken that you have will do)
2 tins chopped tomatoes
1 large onion
Chorizo sausage, chopped
450g diced potato
1-2 tsp chilli powder
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp tomato puree
250ml chicken stock
1 level tsp sugar (for acidity in the toms)
I've bunged everything in my SC or you can cook it in casserole dish in oven. I don't pay much attention to the weights of ingredients. This would make probably enough for 4 people so you could batch cook and freeze the excess like I plan to. I confess I haven't used chicken stock, just a bit of extra water as it's going in SC it doesn' evaporate the same way. In true MSE style I don't use a whole chorizo sausage eitherI've used about a third chopped up and I have a small bit left that I've frozen for another day......well it's not very often I buy a single sausage costing £3 LOL
Positive vibes for William, thinking of him and imagining him keeping his job xxx
Back from Forest Schools, am cream crackeredCan't wait to be fully fit so I can get back into doing Shred every other day. It's going to be killer starting that from scratch again
Not done so well on the mindful eatingJust had a packet of crisps on top of the half tin of soup, 2 slices of bread and butter AND large slice of birthday cake
I think it's because when I come back from FS I feel a bit chilled and then I sit and do nothing I don't get warm. Ought to rely on hot drink instead
Got some maternity clothes to photograph and list on ebay so shall do that shortly. Think housework will have to wait til tomorrow.
Been looking at bank statements. Not sure I could afford to give up work with the way my husband spends moneyI think we could manage it (OK we'd have to be careful spending) but he's much more of a spendthrift that me........any suggestions on how to get him to change his ways? The motivation for him won't be the same as for me as he'll still be going to work 5 days a week
TMIF - Glad you had a nice holiday, shame about the rat

Thanks all, I will try and PM MG, hopefully her inbox has a Rachel sized space :-)
Well I have spent the morning job hunting; although I am making plans for the self employed stuff, I need to job hunt for temp or part time as a stop gap. Stopped for lunch and realised I have very little food in the house, so going to walk to Sainsgogs to get essentials and then later I will plan a bigger shop to be delivered (no car, waah)0 -
Bitsy - do you par cook your chicken? I've got a slow cooker recipe book and am fed up with it telling me to brown or par-cook meat. IMO the whole thing about slow cookers is that you can throw everything in it in the morning without having to do a load of extra cooking.
I know what you mean about the planning - I don't tend to do that much - my littlies like choosing their own things to do. They don't want me telling them what to play with or do.0 -
Dangers I don't par cook anything I just chuck it in the slow cooker.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000
