This one is not baby steps for me - it is a giant leap of faith! Go for it and I will follow, my friend.

Have never died my hair myself - am petrified of getting it wrong. I probably should have a bash sometime soon. It's one of those things I should do before I die.
Pickle, too early for the 'once in a life time' experience on hair. If I were you, now I'll do the things that I won't be able to do when I am old and gray - like horse riding across the Goby desert; swimming with crocks or something...Mind, if you do the latter you better colour your hair beforehand:rotfl:.

Re the furry limbs thing, I have an epilator - got it last summer and found it quite good, albeit by the time I got into the swing of using it the summer was nearly over. So. I went into standard "winter mode and just left them alone......I wish someone had told me that doing that then means that epilating is as painful when you go back to it as it was the very first time you did it - you could have scraped me off the ceiling and I imagine the neighbours thought MrEH was murdering me! (Actually, they more likely thought I was murdering him!:o) Since then I have been doing the legs regularly and my hope is by the time summer comes along.....if it does of course........my legs should be worthy of being bared. At the moment they are still at the "bumpy with ingrowing hairs" stage though.......:(🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Just wondering if my fellow Scots are getting snow as well? Yep, tis snowing in Glasgow but is also wet (the joys) so it's not lying in the city. God knows what it's like out of town though.
Ace news on the house Crickett and glad we're all groomed again MG!!!
Can I ask for my positive vibes for my mum please ladies, she's dehydrated and in hospital.
Thanks XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Oh, Souk... I am so sorry to hear that. Sending positive vibes....."A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440

You'll all loathe me but I've never dyed my hair once but have been accused of bleaching on several occasions. When the sun's out it goes almost white.........EssexHebridean wrote: »At the moment they are still at the "bumpy with ingrowing hairs" stage though.......:(
That's what put me off using mine TBH. Even with exfoliation I couldn't stop the ingrowing hairsCan I ask for my positive vibes for my mum please ladies, she's dehydrated and in hospital.

Oh dear sorry to hear that Souk. Lots of positive vibes for your mum, hope she's well and home soon xx
Late posting today, managed to quickly read this morning but ran out of time for posting.
Well plans for the SC this week are going to be chorizo and chicken casserolegot some to use up after yesterday's Birthday HM pizza-fest
Got lots of pondering to do re my job. Not sure it's something I want to do but need to look at finances as to whether we could afford me to not work. Need to hear H's thoughts on the subject......feel in a quandry unsure of which way to go. Just unhappy at the box ticking I feel the job has become. Will keep you posted on what we decide......if indeed we make a decision :rotfl::rotfl:
Did some housework but not caught up on what I should have done yesterday. But hey everyone gets a day off housework when it's their birthday don't they
B*gger just realised I was up near the local B&Q so could have got some garden furniture restorer <sigh> Another job for tomorrow......I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hello everyone!
Have managed to catch up but not post the last couple of days.
:j Welcome back MG! :j Glad you're back - and good luck with the legs! Had mine waxed last week so we could go swimming, otherwise I would have had to wear lycra leggings in the pool. Hadn't done anything about them for months - in fact it's been so cold I hadn't even seen them under all the layers since I can't remember when :rotfl: Now I need to deal with my hair too.
Sorry about your Mum Souk; hope she's better soon.
Belated happy birthday wishes Bitsy!Sorry I missed the actual day
Well I have set myself some quite minor challenges, aiming for Easter but hopefully will continue after that as well. They are:
Cycle at least one trip per day
Eat an apple every day
Keep up with my target of writing to people (have been trying to do this since new year, as I completely failed to post a single Xmas card!)
Doing OK on the apple front :rotfl:
Not too badly on the cycling - although I have a tendency to leave it too late then I can't afford the extra 20 minutes I need to cycle rather than drive on my regular daily trip.
Had a bit of a hiatus in the writing last month but doing better again now.
The 'read those books you've had for years' challenge made me laugh. I recently started to read a book I have had on the shelf at least 20 years! Many times I thought of taking it to the charity shop, then I'd read the blurb and think it looked quite good after all so put it back on the shelf again. Have finally started it, and it is quite good!0 -
Catching up here too... so welcome back MG and thinking of you Souk. Can't remember if I wished Bitsy a happy birthday so happy birthday!
I've had/have that horrible cold thing too for two weeks, everytime I think it's gone, I get a reminder. Nose - better, throat - 90% better, ears - still gluey, jaw - so sore and stiff. Guess it's always going to be my weak point after having an op on it a few years ago.
500 days to the Olympics has got me really excited because I'll be a Mrs before thenNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Back from the hospital, looks like I am going to have to have injections in my back every 6 months, for the rest of my life.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000

Bitsy - totally agree about what the job has become! I had the phone call last week to see if I was still doing early years and I had pleasure in saying that yes I was, but planning to give that bit up at the end of august - when my one EY child goes into yr 1. Do you only do littlies? I only do before and after school and it is bringing a nice amount of money.
Gemmzie - wow to think that you will be a Mrs before the Olympics. Nice to have something to look forward to.
Claire - sorry to hear about the injections. If you suffer from what my mum suffers from, then it is incredibly painful so I really feel for you. Hugs
Glad you are on the mend MG, albeit with the snuffles0
