Off to the beach with Moo and MrC is good. Chillax and relax and let go all the stress.
My OH is currently driving through Dalwhinney, god awful place, like no mans land. Nothing green ever grows there, its brown even in High Summer and they sometimes have to shut the snowgates in May arrrrggggggggggggghhhh.
Claire, get your boys to do their own clearing up. Not hard, make beds, washing in the wash baskets (or you dont wash it). Chores are split honey, they live there too and all that. If they wont comply, withdraw services, they won't be long in meeting you half way. Trust me, I still have 2 teenage (boys) well 1 is a boy (the other is 19 with schizophrenia) thinks he is a man lol xxxx

Coome on Matrix people, ur all lovely, but this thread never, line NEVER EVER falls this far back. We all have real lives, but surely are never so far afield that we cannot encourage each other in here or in the other place. COME ON fingers out and post. all of 60 seconds. It doesn't take much.

Claire are you strong enough to go on strike ? Could you accept for just one week doing nothing for them and letting it all build up ? If so, do it. They need to learn how to fend for themselves. Their future partners will not thank you for not getting them to grow up and learn how to take care of themselves and their things.

Cherisong, Why do I constantly put you to shame?? If your on about the cleaning, your house is probably cleaner than mine, so you don't have to clean all the time, or even you don't have a house of lazy people (including me) who leaves stuff lying around all the time.
OH CLAIRE believe me you put me to shame. I am very organised and focused in work but when things get on top of me at home the cleaning is the first thing to stop. You are so industrious.

Oh how I agree with this. My ex never did anything for himself nor did his two brothers. Their Mum was run ragged but she had only brought it on herself and I didnt thank her either. I did go on strike. We split up for a few weeks (before he eventually left me for a younger family model) and when he came home he couldn't believe how tidy the house was!

I went on strike with mine for a week. No cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing and tv only went on when I wanted to watch something. Never had to do it again but its come close now and again.

Thanks for the comments ladies I really appreciate them :D If I am honest I don't want a separate diary, I like it here and don't want to leave :o:o So here my ramblings and stuff shall stay :D :T

With regard to the thread slowing......I never really considered the fact that the rush of productivity would slow :o What I don't want is for this thread to be soley reliant on MG and her going's on and thereby it dies by her temporary absence IYSWIM. I mean no disrespect to MG, I miss her lovely infectious way of posting but it would be a shame for it to fizzle completely just because she's had a rough start to the year.

Fantasia - Huge hugs for you lovey. I don't know much about your previous job but are they aware of your reasons for leaving? Would you consider going back but on your terms ie. put in place guards again such stress in the job or is it a no go? I feel a bit like you too, bit of a cross roads towards the end of the year as my hours of work will reduce. It's a cross up between following my heart and bringing some money to the table. Between a rock and a hard place :( Asking the Universe to point you in the right direction xxx

claire - I vote with the strike action too. If you're anything like me it would kill me as I am a bit anal when it comes to mess but they won't appreciate what you do until it's gone. Perhap time to show them what life COULD be like and foister a bit more responsibility on them. good luck. I agree you always sound so busy, please don't over do things too much xx

Oceanspirit - well done on what you've achieved. No need to apologise, lots of people lurk, nowt wrong with that :D

Catch up tomorrow where I shall start focusing on my aims :T

Bitsy, you are right that the tread has slowed down and many regular (in the past) posters don't do it so often anymore. I suppose I am one of them. But I do read regularly, and if someone calls I'll be around (sounds cheesy, I know, but it happens to be the truth). And the matter is not about running out of steam, I suppose, but needing time to consolidate and bring to fruition some of the little seed we planted last Summer and Autumn.

I also read your list with interest - afree about the futility of putting something a number of times and not getting anywhere. But this does not mean that the challenges don't work as such; something else might be amiss. For myself, I find that if the challenge is only to lose weight I don't do it; because I don't want it enough and don't plan it well. But if the challenge is soemthing else and the loss of weight is a condition for this to happen (like learn to snowboard) then it is more likely. Also the planning - what has to happen so that you lose weight? Bringing the weight loss down to sets of actions that you do everyday, once a week and once a month makes it very precise and takes your mind off losing weight (and of the pressure that goes with it).

Hope some of this makes sense.
